my students from other ESF schools, hardly any homework, just play play play, and hence, I notice these students find it very hard to SIT down and get focused on a task for a long time.... in comparison to other students of mine in the same age.
My children are with RC and they have friends with other ESF schools. I am sorry if my message is going to disappoint you but my children and their friends are extremely academic and they are not restless. Being academic is not the same as having loads of homework. And you do not need to be a square to be a good student.
I am surprised that as a tutor, you chose to generalise the behavior of ESF/RC children by looking at the limited bunch you have met.
However, I understand that most teachers or tutors would prefer to have squares as their students. Squares stay and are easiest to handle.
I can only say that RC and ESF parents should be thankful we have a whole bunch of really loving and competent teachers. |
