Hi,

我未報之前已打過電話去GH幼稚園問一些資料, 我都有問此點, 職員回答我除了那些小朋友在學習上真的真的好有問題之外, GH幼稚園學生基本上是收晒先,才再收外來生。我亦相信此點是真的, 如果唔係會好難吸引到K2/K3的學生轉校, 尤其是現在讀緊名幼稚園那班小朋友。同時, 簡介會都有提及, 當然GH唔會寫"100%"收晒架啦, 間間都唔會咁講架啦, 只說會優先, 但說得都好明顯啦。

I believe they are currently working on the reduction of no of P1 as before I confirm to pply the K2, I also ask chances of getting into P1 if we are not their kinder kids, they said chances is slim as they will only accept all kinder students and they said they worry v much outside kinder kids have difficulities in catching their PI syllabus.


as 45 ppl is maximum capacity and seems they are reviewing it

Hi all,

BTW, did you see any outdoor playgroup equipped with slide, wheel, seesaw, etc?  I only saw 2 greens with some stone sheeps.

I just guess....there may be more classes (not only 5 classes) since the campus is bigger with more classrooms.  And, I think some of kinder students has choices to Gov't primary schools.  Other kinders still have chance.

that implies:

i also have one concern... if our daughter is studying in GHS kinder, do u think we can still attend the "Lucky Draw" for Marykoll? Will GHS has anyway stop us on that?

According to EDB's leaflet (http://www.edb.gov.hk/FileManager/EN/Content_1511/2010lfte.pdf) :

"Children who have accepted the offer of P1 places in Direct Subsidy Scheme primary schools
will not be allocated P1 places through the Primary One Admission System. If school places
have been allocated to them through the Primary One Admission System, those school places
will be withdrawn.

To avoid wastage of P1 places and to enable private primary schools to have a more accurate
estimate of their P1 enrolment in the coming school year, a list of those children who have
been offered a P1 place by a private primary school and yet opted to remain in the Primary
One Admission System will be sent to the private primary schools concerned for information
prior to the release of the central allocation results in June 2010."

As GH primary is private but not DSS, it depends on the school policy whether they will reserve the seats to the kids if they know that they will participate in central allocation.

we are in the same boat....

What do you think of GH?  Is there any other primary school in Kowloon can compete with DGS?  Or GH is the only one? (I mean private or DSS)

I agree that Good Hope is really not doing well for the interview.
But I do believe their kinder ‘s can nurture every children’s knowledge and laying the foundation for a successful primary education as it is a "Through Train" mode.
As well, I think Good Hope will ensure to maintain the quality of their primary students.

I also have applied K2 at GH for my daughter coz GH almost guarantee all girls can promote to it's P1. However, when the time for applying P1, I definitely will let my daughter try DGS, too.  Therefore, I am worry is how to ensure (or convince myself) that GH kinder can do as good as other traditional famous kinder like SC or KV (actually my girl is studying at 1 of them).  Will my girl is competitive enough in the DGS interview?  Of course, for girl private school in Kowloon, majority will go for DGS and GH, no 3rd choice.  But in my own perspective, no matter in term of reputation, academic, sports, languages, student performance in public competition, etc, it seems that DGS is ahead of GH.


Since no history can refer, so I will be "15/16" if finally GH accepts my daughter.
