我個仔上次去這間學校interivew, 小朋友一Group一Group咁由1個老師帶佢地坐lift上去班房interview, 大人就係大堂坐底填問卷等小朋友。過咗大約半個小時，我group D 小朋友就 一個倆個咁係lift出來。見我個仔嗰group都應該走晒，我和我老公就係咁望實個lift門口，睇佢幾時落來，記住，我係行咗去lift前面望實嗰lift門架。終於，Lift門一開，見到我個仔，但係成個Lift裏面只係得我個仔一個人。 一個5歲都唔夠的細佬仔自己一個人坐lift， 我立刻同啊仔講點解無人陪你坐lift？佢重問我佢係唔係好叻呢？激死！係大堂有成班家長做証，20+家長都見到，D家長都你眼望我眼，都好奇怪！間學校都知所為的，如果困lift咁點吖？？？ 小朋友根本都唔可以處理啦！D小朋友咁細，連按警鍾都按唔到啦！
我為咗唔想影響嗰仔的interivew，就帶佢出左大門外問佢，你頭先係唔係走失咗啊？佢話無吖！我問點解你咁遲？我個仔就話要排隊，佢係最後一個! 我再問佢頭先有無人帶係去坐lift，佢話有！我問佢點解無大人陪你坐lift，佢話唔知吖！我問佢你係唔係係1樓落唻呢？佢話唔係1，係7樓，佢話係7字唻！ 我真係好嬲！我上咗taxi，再同啊仔傾吓頭先老師問你D嘢識唔識，佢話好難，問我財神英文係乜嘢，因為老師問佢佢唔識答！ xyz@#! 攪錯呀？財神英文都考，你話要考深的英文，考大空人、河馬都可以接受，考財神，我都唔識讀啦！成間學校都不知所為！

"幸好好多人都話唔讀" but they have offer on hand and hold it.
Finally, some seat is released on Aug or Sep 2011.
They are ???? parent.

I hope non SMC parent understanding, We never say that "SMC is top DSS or  famous school or 學術程度有幾高，我地冇話自己高過謀謀學校".
we say SMC is 健康、活潑、開心愉快學習的返學, less pressure, less copy-write job.
我地的小朋友係學校是好開心愉快學習的，就我囝他病了都希望能返學，那就係我地家長想見到的學校！
I give up other top & famous DSS offer, I hope my kid is 開心愉快學習 and not much pressure.
On the same time, any parent can say anything here, but 彼此尊重不好嗎?
I hope all is real and solid, do not use your ear as your eye.
Please believe your eye, if any understanding or question, you can ask school by email. They will reply by senior staff not clerk.
Finally, Do not say SMC is selling of "English" only, SMC sells all round education.

SMC 只是一所普通學校，絕不可跟其他百年名校相比。我選SMC因孩子愉快學習及父母可以小跟進壓力。
SMC要求學生多看課外書，不論是中文，英文，或其他語文。
到現在SMC都能做到，只是文職支援令人怒氣.
我兒也恨喜歡上課，到現在都沒有上任何補習班。

Due to this 2 years, new comer of SMCE secondary is selected by interview, not lucky draw kid.
I think that school will select suitable student as primary section.
I hope quality of secondary improved as primary.
Good English is not labelled as GOOD school, just equipped basic skill for future learning & good communication with different country people.
I select SMC due to good manner of  student, who I saw on the street.
Provide full english enviroment for student daily.
小學部P1的英文默書是每兩周讀默20個生寫，而且比一般中文小學還淺。
現在P2都是20個生寫。
最近一次默下列生寫 party, people,house,candy,night,ghost,children,moon,front...,夠簡單容易嗎？
他們的英文程度是每曰八小時從環境浸出來，不是只有每周8堂英語學。
老師雖然新或小經驗，但用心及有愛心，他們都注重學生品行，如有問題壹定跟進。
我有次在學校跟校長談話，每年都有許多人申請，你們是如何選擇？
她說是品徳，誠懇，家長支援，反而超高學術或無自信心或基本禮貌很定不要。
他們是讀小學,不是中學或大學,知識學校會教，但品德要家長支援.
但中文默書跟其他中小一樣多，但是不用背默。
我希望不是SMC的家長，不要只說smc英文有幾好，學校都有在其它科努力。

my daughter is a new comer , I can tell you that this year have 65 students came from their own primary school, if secondary school is not good, how can so many students choose their own secondary school?

I agree that the primary school student 's English standard are very high, but I also believe that the Secondary School is improving, that why I choose this school for my children

My daughter is very happy studying in this school, she like this school very much and I also very satisfy with this school, I think I choose the right school for my daughter.


Some parent will select other band 1 or top DSS for secondary place not SMC.
I know some p6 kid promted to other top band 1 or top DSS by self.

For me, I don't need my girl to go to a top school with excellent academic result. I prefer the school offering a happy learning attitude and strong language environment. That's why I only choose the schools with similar faith.
I truely believe that some parents would expect other things from the primary schools. Everyone has different choice and preference. We should respect that.

沒錯, 我們的小朋友要在這裡念12年的書, 當初我也是很小心選擇.  入了smc後我好開心係囡囡既同學品性都好好, 佢識到一班好朋友, 我相信佢地會係佢一生既好朋友啦!  而我地家長亦相處得好融洽.  仲有係很好感激學校既安排, 令到小女有好多不同發揮的機會, 特別是上一學期那個45周年的英文話劇表演(亞拉丁), 有幸囡囡可以參與, 中小學的同學一起排練了好多個月, 當晚的表演真係令我好感動, 我從來無諗過普通學校既話劇係會咁認真, 無論劇本, 配樂, 燈光, 服裝, 音響, 招呼賓客, 場刊......等等都睇得出佢地真係落左好多好多心機, 而中學既學生亦好照顧小學既學生, 係facebook見到佢地既照片真係好開心打成一遍好似大家庭咁.  我囡囡都係獨女, smc可以比到佢同大哥哥大姐姐一齊成長既經歷.

當初的決定也包括了對其他家長的反應,在BK 或是我曾去校外看過,和我家校車等車的媽媽和工人姐姐談過,當然有些抱怨一些學校行 ...

You gave an objective marking, and I apprecipate your honesty..... I have the same feeling that their lanuguage is good, and they put much effort ( I guess) on enlgish drama, and eng. poem activities..etc... My feeling is they are changing their strategies to be more and more traditional / tough in the future..... Hope your student enjoy the its english environment....

I think you are disappointed.
Some parent hold the seat to Aug/Sep, even SMC is not cup of tea.
They says "the school is bad or anything", but they hold the offer on the same time.
For me, when better offer received, other seat is released ASAP.
In 2009, some student is reported school after 1 week.
They are transfered from other school.
It means some kid not reported.
