My son is now 2 years old and he also just speak some single words. My case is same with you, only me and my husband will play with him after work. During daytime, my maid will take care of him. He is attending playgroup 2 times per week. It is a bit helpful but I can see he will speak more only when he is very happy. He will start nurery this week. I hope he will be more talkative as he can have chance to communicate with other kids.

do you (I mean parents) talk to others so often? Kids learn from us, don't push kids but try to communicate with neighbours or teachers first, kids may copy you.
we are living with grandma, so we are talking very often to each members and i do talk to teachers and neighbours if i see them, at least a "hello" lor...

my son's situation is the same, he goes to playgroup for more than 1/2 years already and he still refuses to answer any question. I'm worried his performance during K1 interview!!
same here, my girl went to the same pg for 9 months, same teachers and babies, but she's not talking to the teacher till the last day of the class while she's super talkative home, i'm sure she's alright and not autistic, 無佢筏
