今年9月讀k1(ESF TY)既媽咪，請問收到適應班資料未？

As mentioned at the previous letter, they said that they will notify parents and kids in June.  One class in August will arrange for kid to meet their teacher, however today already 28 June, still not receiving any news from them, just curiously if any of you recieve the letter or not?

Mine is in AM class (upstair).
If I were you, I would insist staying in the class (rather than leaving to helper...you cannot expect too much from your helper in this issue) observing how your son behaves. So, I could find out it is the problem of my son or really the problem of the class teacher (I would discuss it seriously with the principal if it is teacher's problem).
Think positive. Maybe they want to talk to you directly to find a better to calm down your children. You cannot expect they knows everything about your child, your family in the first few days of the school.
(My son had some emotional problem last Friday. After chatting with my son and then writing notes in the communication book and discussing with the Class Teacher yesterday morning, it seems improving.)

My son at PM class, if your son at PM or AM class?

My boy without cry at the school.  But he is lack of patient and not follow the teacher instruction. This really make me headache and when first day of school his class teacher already make complaint to me.  Up to date, she already make more than three times complaints about how my boy not perform well at school  Today she write to me to invite an interview with the principles.  I don't know if this is regular to every kids?

Yes. I noticed some teachers can speak English, Cantonese and Putonghua. I don't know whether it is good or no good for children in picking up English and Putonghua at the earliest beginning...
As we have already had a good starting (the priority for ESF P1 interview over those non ESF kindergarten applicants...), we need to keep working hard with our children in the coming 16 months...

But I found that the Putonghua Teacher and EA speak English and Cantonese instead of Putonghua to the students even the EA was reading the Chinese story book to my son at Putonghua corner.

Don't forget there will be a late start for the first week(I remember you are in AM class right? 9am for the first week as stated in the leaflet)

My "Meet your Teacher" notice was:
...Monday 24th Aug from 4:15pm to 5:15pm;
(One play with the children and one meet Vicky the principal...) then ...
School start on either 31 Aug or 01 Sep at 9am (regular hour is 8:30am but the first week start at 9am)

I just read the message again.

Regarding 28 Aug, it seems to gave a chance to say Hi to the teachers from 4:15 - 4:30pm after their afternoon class.

no school uniform is required for that 1 hour session. For K1, commencing 31 Aug (or 01 Sep) Group A and B will be attending Mon Wed Fri and then Tue Thurs (or vice versa) in the coming 2 weeks...seems u have a lot of questions and it is worthy to ask the teachers directly there...good luck!

But just wonder that the meeting just lasts for 15 minutes for all of students to meet with their teachers?!

I am querry that the official school day should be 31 Aug or 1st Sept where depends on which group.   Am I right?

Do they need to wear the school uniform on 28.8?

Also, I will be taking a few half day leave next week by joining the class. For me, all these experiences are memorable and precious and "never again" in the rest of my life.
I wish I could join my daughter's Year 1 class at the beginning but no such arrangement la... too bad...
