Hello, my son is going to start R1 in ICS kindergarden in the coming August. He is born in December 2005, so he will be a big kid in the class. I wonder whether he can apply local school P1 when fi ...
I believe ICS parents will help to answer if there is any successful case. :)
Theoritically, attending kindergarten is not one of the criteria to join the Primary One Admission Scheme
(http://www.edb.gov.hk/FileManager/EN/Content_1511/poa%20lft%202009%20e.pdf). You can obtain the form from the regional education office of EDB. Further infor can be obtained from http://www.edb.gov.hk/index.aspx?nodeID=1497&langno=1) or you can contact the School Places Allocation Section at 2832 7700 or 2832 774
But it seems that there is not much (if any) chinese teaching in R1 & R2, and the chinese standard of local P1 is quite high. it may be rather difficult for the kids to cope with. |
