上午校小一分班試

請問p1新生要考分班試嗎?如有，過往是幾時考?

沒錯,聖心私小上年實行每周評估,此評估對於5,6年班的學生來說是比較吃力,因已習慣之前學習模式,另對剛上小一的父母亦會好有壓力.但經呢一年的實驗,我認識的朋友(小一至小五),由初初的擔心及壓力,對此評估的不滿,但到現在反而覺他們與女女已適應此評估. 他們覺適應後,每星期溫小小,比之前一次過溫習應付考試反而輕鬆多些,因此我對聖心的功課/評力也大大減小了.不過講到尾,每種方式對每個大人及小朋友都有不同效果.所以每間學校都有他們的長短.既然我已選了聖心,我會正面去面對,到遇到難題就去解決,現在再擔心也擔心不來了

I have given up 真光 and chosen 聖心私小p.1 for my daughter.  But I am still worried about the workload because starting from last year, SH has introduced 8 continuous assessments for each subject in the whole year, apart from the two examinations.  (before, there were two tests and two examinations only)
Later, I have heard that a lot of parents complained about it and so the workload in the second term seemed to be less.  Not sure the school would change the system this year.  Hope to hear about it on 26 August.

我識有個朋友的女兒之前小一讀真光,但她說真光3測3考,對要返工的她來說實在是太吃力了,因此小二時轉讀聖心私小,現已是5年級,她說反而輕鬆些,而且功課並不多,若女兒專心做,1小時應可完成.而且只是上半日課,下午還有很多時間做功課/溫書/參加課外動/玩耍.

另有關分班試,大家不用太擔心,分班試不是用來分精英班,只是想將學生質數平均分配.

聖心上午今年的四、五年級, 每班都係約36人。
功課都係4, 5 樣, 而且有d係堂課改正,
如果啱晒唔使做添!

I see.  I also gave up two other offers earlier in the year but I haven't knocked any door.  Why don't you like SH then?  Would you mind sharing?

我個女唔係讀佢幼稚園架,其實我有唔只3間收左我個女,不過最後只留左3間,我其實唔係話好鐘意聖心,不過佢派位又好似幾好至冇辦法,我宜家都叩緊津校門

'cos I'm living in Yuen Long. Going to SH is a long way for my daughter every morning. Even though I know SH is a good school especially if she can go to the secondary school, I don't want her to travel for such a long way to school every morning.

So, finally, I gave up.

Dear polarbb,

Is your girl from Sacred Heart Kindergarten?  I am still choosing between SH and True Light eventhough I have registered SH already.  But I still hesitate because SH is said to be quite pushy in terms of school work.  There may be 38 or 9 students in one class too.   What do you like about SH?

咁我想問下你地，私校同津校又有甚麼分別，除了私校要比錢，係老師自己 interview 學生收生外，仲有甚麼分別呢，私校的學生好 D 定係津校間好 D 呢？

同埋佢地兩間的教學語言是甚麼呀？
除了中英數外，仲有邊一科呀？
