Hi all, my daughter will start P1 this Sep. She is admitted by both 港大同學會小學 and 真道 which we definitely cant decide which to pick. Can any parents share yr view?

Also, I got following questions too;
1. do you know whether 真道 is running with IB model?
2. heard that 港大同學會小學 change principal again this year, any info to share?

For my opinion, if the Logos fully adopt the IB mode in their secondary school, I think it is better for me..however, I'm not sure about the IB mode should be fully adopt in the secondary school.

For my case, another choice is EC and coming attend RC interview.

If Logos not fully adopt IB mode, I will consider the RC.

If fail in RC interview, Logos and EC are my final choice.

係呀, 我識一個小一家長, 係舊年小一新生日前一個星期(大概7月)收到通知可以入讀, 佢即刻拿拿淋去註冊了。

I agree that they should give bonus for hkuga members & donors coz they need to fill in related info in the appl form. So, I have invested a bit years ago as donation (not bad to help someone in need as well). Also, I deliberately highlight in my daughter's portfolio with pictures taking in HKU with me (as a HKU graduate) and taking in the secondary school with another close relative studying there. Hope it help!

Pls excuse me for using English coz I am really slow in Chinese typing. May I ask you a few questions:

1. What kind of education system does the school adopt?  If its not IB, what is it then? I've looked up the website but don't know what is it about.
2. Do you know what is the admission criteria? Will the school give certain priority to certain families?  (Like ESF, they give prority to CAT 1 family, sibling studying at same school?)
3. My kid is going to study at Victoria kinder this summer which I was told is quite interactive in the curriculum.  HKUG is definitely my prority target, do you think I have made a right choice?
4. Anything I can do to pave the path to HKUG?

有d傳統學校, 真係做唔到時, 就只識俾壓力, 壓學生, 壓家長, 小朋友覺得自己做唔到=能力唔得, 俾人睇死
唔記得帶野=記缺點, 功課只有一個model answer, 差dd都係大交叉
而呢d新思維學校, 會俾小朋友一個mes ...

現在很多school 都sell 自已可以幫助小朋友build up自信心.  有時, 我會唸是學校令小朋友有自信心, 或是小朋友本身就是一個有自信心的人.

不要誤會, 我完全沒有意思說港大同學會不好.

估唔到在這裡同你傾另一間學校。真道以往4月,5月都仲有簡介會的, 但它的收生過程比較長, 6月1st in 完, 10月才叫去2nd in (我見forum好多家長這樣寫), 所以等待結果過程都唔知有冇份2nd in的。我有幾個朋友讀緊真道, comment 有好有唔好, 各人睇法唔同, 最緊要家長同意學校理念及適合小朋友學習發展。

希望你仔仔都考到港同, 和家姐一起返學啦, 真道對你來說都幾遠喎。
