Hi.  Do any parents received the letter from Victoria pre-nursery ?

It have a "Child Profile" to fill in...

Do anyone can help ?

E.g. 1/ What are your expectations for sending    your child to Victoria ? (點寫好D ?)
2/ How would your family spend the weekends together ? (點寫好D ?)
3/ Is there any info. u would like to share w/about your child ? (點寫好D ?)

I don't think my son can answer anything from the NET questionsas my whole family speak Cantonese only!

I (whole family) do not speak Mandarin but my son is studing at a mandarin speaking nursey.  It may be the reason Victoria offered him a seat at English / Mandarin stream.

My son did not answer any question in Mandarin but he was the only kid in the group to answer all English questions during the story time.

I don't know if the interviews in other campus were the same or not. My son went to the interview at Belcher's Campus.

In my son's interview, the NET read a story to the children in English and then she asked them some questions.

For the group activity, the teacher spoke in Cantonese.

The songs that they sang were an English nursery rhyme and a Cantonese song. The teacher gave instruction in Cantonese.

Parents can accompany the child throughout all the three parts. So I think parents can help them a bit.

And one more thing is children in the trilingual classes also learn Mandarin.

As for my understanding from their pamplet, English / Mandarin classes are mainly for children who speak mainly Mandarin at home. The trilingual (English, Mandarin and Cantonese) classes are for children who speak mainly Cantonese at home.

I think you should have stated your preferences on which classes you would like to apply for on your application form. I don't know if you could make amendments on your form on the day of the interview.

In the second part, the children sat together around a table. The teacher gave each of them a toy. Then, she asked the children to put the toy into the box with the same colour. Next, she gave each child a block with different shape and ask them to put it back into the mould with the same shape. For the last part, the children went to the music room with another group of children. They sang a song with the teacher and did some actions with the teacher when sining the song.

I didn't attend the parent's meeting but they accepted my son for the coming K1 (English / Mandarin stream).
