school bus is better and safer??

My son takes while van from Diamond Hill to SC. As I have never use the school bus service, I can hardly compare the safety between them. Yet, I know that for the school bus, a seat belt would be use for the seat of 3 (but not 3 individual seat belt). For my son's van, individual seat belt has been use and it stopped before the school. I choose the van as it takes much less time in travelling. My son gets on the van at 8:20 and he could arrive the school on time. If I use the school bus service, he should gets on at 7:52 a.m. which is half an hour earlier.
