Don't give up if you love this school. I support you totally. If you have any other schools that you're keen, do send them letters as well. After the first round allocation, there will be places left for most of the schools. One child can't occupy so many places at the same time. But you have to be patience for the time being. Also, don't let your child know your preference so that he won't be affected when it turns out that you have to select another school. We have to let our children know that all the schools we and our God arranged for us are good schools.
Think in this way. You should have better chances than than other candidates - at least you're in the final 300. Update us if you have any good news. Hope to meet you in Ying Wah.

We are so Happy that our son got a place in Ying Wa. I could hardly sleep last night. Pictures of all these interviews kept coming to my mind. After all the stress and torture,it's finally settled. Merry Christmas!
Congratulation to all successful parents. I know all of you have paid maximun effort.
I am also very happy to the acceptance offered to my boy by YW. Meanwhile, I would like to take this chance to encourage those were rejected by YW as the reason behind might not be the standard of performance of the boys or the parents during the interviews. Instead, it may because of the other factors, such as the boys' ages and the limited quotas of P.1 in the forthcoming school year.
Kentville girls and boys, go ahead and strike for a successful future!!!
Among all the schools I interviewed, Ying Wah interviews should be the most comprehensive ones. Our kids have to go through three times for interview. Even the final interview, I found that the headmistress asked my son so many questions. It's not easy for a boy around 5. Don't be upset. The competition is very keen indeed. I also faced the same pressure and experiences like you when my son interviewed some top schools. They really don't prefer those young children (born towards the end of the year). But Ying Wah got the patience and also willing to spend time to select candidates. For some schools, I really don't know how they can select candidates based on very limited time and just a number of simple questions.
As you're in the final 300, in case there are vacancies, your child can fill up the places. Don't give up. It's a very good school. Although we're Catholics and I want to get into La Salle, I found this school (Ying Wah) do care about their students in all aspects. I won't take SFA and join the second round lucky draw of La Salle again.
My son failed to get a place after the 2nd interviews at both YW and TSL.
We should not be too happy after the 2nd interview with Ms LAM at YW. My son liked her so much since the 1st interview and asked me yesterday when he would study in YW. He is sleeping at the moment. I 'll not tell him the interview result unless he asks me. I 'll reply to him in another way, "Your performance at these schools have been very good as you haven't reached 5 years old yet and you have not got any sibling or religious background . Dad and mum are really proud of you already. There are too many applicants. P1 school is just a starting point. Don't worry too much. There must be one school that can suit you. This is not a full-stop to your dream or future, just as what you see in the video about Nick who hasn't got limbs since his first arrival on the earth.". I 'll then give him a big and warm hug. Everthing will be fine. (We are not upset but a bit disappointed about the age factor. When two kids got the same performance, the older kid will certainly take the advantage. Some schools even turned down any offer to young kid by policy.)
Being a parent with 15 marks, I assume that the chance is zero in the lucky draw. I 'll not expect any surprise tomorrow.
I have to sleep well tonight as the game has been run for a very long period of time. Similar to many parents, I and my another half have run out of the batteries.
Good luck to all parents and your kids, especially the parents with young kids.

My son is also accepted. We are so happy!!
Congratulations to all lucky ones. My son got accepted too, though I'm very disappointed with the failure in first round of La Salle (being Catholics). Can't believe that it'll be so exciting that two schools released the results at the same time.
Geni, sincerely hope that you can get a place too. Do update here if you get it. Mamahui, don't be frustrated. If you love Ying Wah, write to the school and there may be some applicants quit. Best wishes to everyone.
I'll definitley register Ying Wah and give up other offers on hand.
