根德園 vs 培正小學幼稚園

How would you compare this 2? I know 根德園 is very good but not too sure about 培正小學幼稚園.

No problem twins_daddy.  

Acutally both KG are v famous, but the main different is PC has "one-dragon path" and KV don't.  So, in order to help you to select, you should consider whether this "one-dragon path" is important to you or not.  

To me, one-dragon is not important.  And I learnt from my colleague (daughther is KV K1 student) that their  English cirriculum is quite "deep" too, so to my standard, I think KV is not bad in Eng, only no NET.

thanks for your sharing... but we are now mainly concerning for KG... i dont think KV's english.... is significantly better than PC KG wor...

Since I want my kids to grow up in a more English environment, I have finally throw away the applicatin form I rec'd from Pui Ching to clear my mind.

My husband was Pui Ching's graduate - since KG to Form 7, and I strongly feel that his English is one of his weak subjects when compared to his maths and chinese (which are really very very good!)

But this is only my husband's case so has highly affected my choice.   

I guess the other main consideration is if whether you have decided to let your kids to study in Pui Ching for primary and secondary school.  If not, I will not pick them lor....

maybe right...... kv even very good but still have big worry about primary school..... if 40% of KV's KG students are extremely good, there will still be 360+ kids need to worry about the primary school arrangement..... each year

Yes, it's very very and really really stressful for waiting the result, I totally agree with you! I can't sleep well in these few weeks, although 3 of the KG already accept my daughter but they're all not my cup of tea, hopefully the result of my tea will come out as soon as possible!

It is totally depends on ur need. No NET may not nessesaily mean english not good. And many But for me , i like my child learn in the amostphere with NET with a view to simulating the accent, pharsing and intonation. So i prefer NET.


Yes, it is traditional famous school with traditional teaching style. Again, depends on what ur expect. And my preception is that lots of homework do matters. They can do better in the P1 test, and that is one of reason to get good school acceptence and hence school gain the reputation.

KV seems no native english teachers and not many outing activites. This should also be considered. And that is the main reason i didnt chose it. Also too cram is also another thing not suit me.

But from ur words, u seems quite concern ur kid's english, so may be 培正 is also not ur cup of tea. BTW, it is a chinese secondary school though ppl say their english is good. But my exp from high school and uni was that, they were hard to get used to it. ( i mean from chinese sec). Just let's say, if u test me phy chem bio in chinese, sure  uncle. It is a mattr of habit.

My son was luckily accepted by 培正 and 根德, finally I picked 培正.
Now he is in K2
