Hi, my daughter is a student of K1A3 (am) Class. The school has started for a few days and it seems that my daughter likes this school. What impress me the most is her teachers are really caring. But what worries me is it seems that the time spent in English is only a little per day...

Please share your views and feelings with me if you are also parents of the K1 class. Thanks.

Hi, Ryan mami, nice to meet you here. My son is Yat Lam and sometimes he mentioned your son. 不過阿仔有時話好悶(可能因為課程都係淺), 我只有私下自己再比功課/其他野佢做. 但佢係度番得好開心.

Yes, my son is also very happy to go to Shatin Park.

你知唔知通常畢業生會考到邊d私校/直資小學? 因為啟小太貴, 所以都應該唔會升讀啟小, 但擔心抽唔到好學校, 所以都開始留意緊其他活動教學私校/直資.

hi hi, my son is also in K1A3 class. Nice to meet u here. Ryan 中文名是什麼? 學校好似好少use English name叫小朋友 (除英文老師外).

你係自己接送Ryan定坐校車?

Hi, Betty,

Thanks for your sharing.  Indeed I also attended the briefing on last Saturday.  Maybe we have already met each other.  Do you mind telling me name of your child?  My daughter is "Cheung Lok Ching, Joey" and she belongs to the Pinapple group.

Compared to other KGs, I think the academic contents in this KG are easier.  Joey attended a pre-nursery class when she was 2.  What this KG is teaching just repeats what she learnt in the past.

But I do appreciate the teachers in this school are really caring and other aspects they focus on apart from the academic areas, like the whole-person development, stimulate the students' initiaitive to ask questions and to learn, and to train up their self-confidence.  I think these are very important and I really hope my kid will have a happy childhood in this KG.

Hi Chingsma,

My daughter also is a student in K1. I'm glad that to know you in here.

After the "Parents day" on Sat. I think your worries may be go away. In fact that the school has been spent a half time day to contact english teacher. The others time is for PTH teacher. Although that is not a whole 1.5 hrs for english & PTH teacher. But there have a chance to contact them in everyday. I think that is enough to encourage the child to learn.

Moreover, I think most kind of kindergarten will not spent more than half time to teach others language except international school.

That is my point of views. And I'm happy to talk with u in BK.
