由28/6現在小朋友interview至今還未收倒任何通知？有無家長知道,何時才會通知家長面試？還是巳經係不收啦！等得好苦.
有無家長巳經收倒第二輪面試通知？？

Hello Peppergin,

So glad to have your reply. I thought noone will answer me cos the sharing stop for nearly half year.

May I know as well if the school is planning to have some classes move to Stanley? It is important to me in considering if I will apply this school for my kid.

hi, I can try to answer your questions

I don't know the content of the 1st interview, but I am sure it doesn't emphasize on academic performance or knowledge.

I understand the Principle is fluent in Cantonese, English and Putonghua. For most of the parents in HK, like us, we (including the Principle) spoke in cantonese.

Portfolio is redundant. The school doesn't read it at all.

May I know about the content of both of the interviews?

1st in- I know that it will be a group observation but may I know more in details how is the child to be tested?

2nd in- what language we are going to use when we meet the Principle?

Is the portfolio important?

I have recieved the call from school that the second interview has been arranged on coming Sunday, paraents with kids and nothing to bring.

Any advice for the face to face talking with the Principal? or just a free talk?

I just read over the previous post and some mami said that after the kid's interview since June 08, wait a long time and haven’t receive the second interview calling, however, may be lucky for my kid, just around 1 month and received the call from school and arrange the second interview within January 09.

I think if have a great deviate concept with the school ideas of teaching; it should be take a consideration for the school and not offer directly.

Once again, Thanks for your rapidly reply and helpful information.

In our case, we were told to wait outside the interview room after meeting with the principal, and then a staff went in to talk to the principal and came out to tell us that our boys were accepted.  I think most cases are like that, but there are exceptions where parents were told to wait for reply after the second interviews.

As for the 1st interviews, I think there are no passes or failures but just scores, and those with higher scores will be called for 2nd interviews.  Hope the information helps.

May I ask all of you, the second interview only for parents or with the kids together? The staff of the school did not told me more detail today, just told the second interview should be hold on some date on January 2009.

May I know when the final result will be issue?

Don't worry, as I know that  some students will release their offers at Jun 09.

Hi jlmammy,

Thanks for your information.  This is what we can do now.  

So after your son's first interview, you've waited for 4 months notice for the 2nd interview?  As my son has 1st interview at the end of June and he's got one of the DSS sch accepted last month.  But if Logos accepted us, we'll give up the seat from that sch.  As we want him to study at TKO and no need to travel too far away from home.

Good luck to you. My son is in FS1 (p.1), I still remember the time we waited for the 2nd interview notice (4 months).  So, don't worry, if you are invited to the 2nd in, most likely your kid will be accepted.

I always thought that we're simple, as we're only looking for DSS sch.  We don't want to apply other very famous sch, as there should be lot more applicants and more hard to get accepted.

Me too...one more stupid thing is I'm not live in TKO, (but one of DSS in TKO was offered a place to my kid before!: ) I'm not Christian, but I prefer the "through train" style school, and I want my kid have a enjoyable school life.

So, don't said simple, me too...some of the parents in BK are not simple, they always show -off they are so complicated!
