活動教學, 但又考香港的考試, 是否work 呢?

現在很多直資學校都聲稱自已是活動教學, 少抄寫, 少背誦, 著重思考, 評估代考試, 愉快學習, 我自已個人十分buy 呢套concept.  將來是想送自已的小朋友去這些學校, 但再想深一層又有些擔心.....

而那些直資學校好多時都是一條龍的, 但到最後都是要考香港的公開試.

我想請教一下, 是否WORK 呢? 這些學校出來的學生是否可以跟傳統學校的學生COMPETE 呢?  

既然活動教學咁好, 得出的結果都是一樣, 那麼為何還有人會去讀傳統學校呢?  雖然說不同的小朋友有不同的性格, 不同的SCHOOL 適合不同的性格, 但我個人深信, 大部份的小朋友都會喜歡多活動, 少抄寫, 少背誦, 愉快學習的.

真係有D 想不通, 想請各位精明的父母教路

In my opinion, it will not work but still a bit better than traditional one. Traditional teaching method is efficient and suit very few student who are born to be more careful and precise (ie those top one). Other most are followers who need 90% of their time to train through mechanical work in order to improve their reflex action and precision. This kill most of their time in order to satisfy the examination game. Most of the DSS still engaged in local examin since they are gov. funded and can not escape thus those student will feel even greater pressure in upper form to compete with those student who are trained from beginning. Only a few DSS (SPCC, Creative) will start one class for IB and those cannot enter it will be labelled as loser. For those school in the middle, their student also will not feel easy since class cutting is coming and for the sake of survival, they will push those capable student and those left behind will be ignored and hopefully they left the school by themself.

我都十分喜愛活動教學呢一套, 加上我囡囡(K2)性格一點都不適合傳統學校, 我在家教她讀書時佢永遠無心機記, 但轉頭同佢玩遊戲咁學時 (如玩超級市場遊戲學唔同食物的生字), 佢立即醒神哂仲好有心機去記的生字, 所以我一定唔會同佢選傳統學校, 尤其是功課孝試多到死的名校(我見我妹個囡讀呢種學校, 不停測驗考試好怕), 至於成績問題, 我同我老公都有共識是想個囡愉愉快快學習和有個快樂童年, 唔會對佢成績有所"高"要求, 只要不要將來派到Band 5學壞就可以了, 所以我不是太擔心將來考試的問題, 況且我識為她讀得開心就話學到很多東西 (我現在同佢玩時都是教佢學校以外的東西), 不過如果其他家長想仔囡又要讀活動教學, 又要好好的成績, 就要想想了

Usually DSS apply 活動教學 in P.1 to 3 only, then have to change back to traditional approach gradually from P.4 onwards.  St. Margaret Co-ed is one example.  PLK TSL is using traditional approach.  GT' students have to take public exams starting P.5, take GCSE exam early at F.2 and then more local exams later.

So very much depends on how the school really implement their 活動教學, especially in upper forms.

However, most DSS are new and students will also attend the new secondary diploma exam under 334 system,  no one can tell the results now.  So many parents would rather play safe and choose traditional schools with track records.

我都覺得"活動教學"呢四個字好吸引,又不用辛苦又有趣味又學到嘢就實好啦! 不過家長不要給學校自己標榜(標籤)為活動教學就信哂,盲中中就俾個仔女入學,仲排隊爭崩頭. 邊個話傳統學校,一定係死背書? 邊個話做專題唔抄寫就係主動學習? 校長眼高老師手低都唔係新聞!

其實家長選學校係要睇長d, 睇未來社會要邊d技能. 學校有無資源做?老師校長是否同心?有無實踐經驗? 有時覺得吹得太勁, (例如突搞IB)反而無彎轉, 太理想化無法接受現實, 都未必好好. 佢講就一時好聽,個仔女則要捱6年.

唔係"活動"唔好,不過有時見到學校有成績基礎但校方不斷漸進會更佳!呢D學校都未必係名校, 又唔使跨區,睇吓家長有無留心.

喜歡當然喜歡, 但有d小朋友你唔迫佢佢係唔會有野比你睇, 而另外又有d小朋友係唔迫得, 一迫就放pair ...

喜歡當然喜歡, 但有d小朋友你唔迫佢佢係唔會有野比你睇, 而另外又有d小朋友係唔迫得, 一迫就放pair

334 in coming, there is change in the next few years, can't use our own experinece to judge them.

we as parents also needs to find out more.
