My son loves Captain Underpants too .... and of course other Dav Pilkey's books eg Mighty Robot, Dumb Bunnies etc.

Think only v few girls would like to read Dav's book.....

My P1 daughter likes Amelia too. I read a chapter for her every night. I also find it very interesting, and have bought the whole series. How old is your son? Is he reading by himself?

My son is in P.5.  He likes reading the books writtten by 'Roald Dahl' too, Roderick Hunt's Kipper series is more
interesting for kids in lower form. My son (P.5) and daughter(F.1) were used to read Kipper when they were in P.1 & P.2.

囡囡最近看了多本 Enid Blyton Secret Seven 系列,說很好看,我亦看到另一系列 Famous Five,亦是adventure的書,相當不錯！

我看過你介紹的 R.L. Stine的鬼故事,亦都很吸引小朋友看,但會比較可怕,所以沒打算給囡囡看,驚她看完後會打惡夢

Enid Blyton仲有好多一本一個story的書, 你可以去我轉貼的website上睇下, 但佢d書就可能要訂先有, 佢d adventure系列都幾吸引, 雖然有時佢有d字係深d, 但睇慣咗就無問題.  如果你囡囡唔怕睇鬼故的話, R.L. Stine的Mostly Ghostly的鬼故系列都唔錯, 我自己都未買齊, 而家正諗住同書店訂, 我見d字唔太深, 內容又比較得意, 小朋友都應該ok.  另外, Magic Tree的書都幾好睇.

其實我有買其他英文故事書, 例如: Oxford story books同for secondary school睇的書(1盒有5本, 分幾個level)加綀習.  但我d小朋友睇兩睇就無興趣睇, 但Enid Blyton d書佢地就肯睇, 所以我先要四出搜尋會啱佢地口味d書, 無計

有眼光喎, 剛剛先睇到你都鍾意Enid Blyton d書, 我又係鍾意佢d書內容夠趣味同埋有d教育意義.  可惜係佢d書係HK唔太popular.

除了這位作者的書外,還有甚麼介紹呀？我見 Mr. Midnight 都幾好,但就比較多生字,囡囡話封面好可怕,唔敢睇！

商務、天地同三聯都有, 但我見商務就最多.  我覺得小朋友開始時都係睇短篇會好d, 而且價錢唔太貴, 一本厚裝書都係30幾蚊, 1本書入面有10多個故仔.  但你要有心理準備, 佢d書係黑白加D插圖, 因為係for 6 - 14歲的小朋友.  如果睇開colourful書的小朋友可能會有d唔慣.  Anyway, 係度都係想同大家分享下認為好的書, 希望你同小朋友都鍾意啦~

You can borrow the Enid Blyton books from the public library, I have seen them there, though my daughter hasn't read it yet, she is only in P1 and it looks a bit too complex for her.
