| Agreed with all other mums that we'd better teach our kids learn to be more humble. I think being humble is more important that being first. If one is humble enough, he/she would always think that he/she is not good enough and try to learn from others. Isn't that more positive than standing on award stands being awarded the medals all the time? Besides, I don't agree with schools praise the kids too much for getting the first place or highest marks. That reminds me of the recent tragedy of an eight-year old girl who committed suicide just because she couldn't manage to be the first in a recent exam. In the contrary, I suggest schools should give more courage to those who made considerable progress. |
