小一平均有幾多樣功課

各位小一家長,

你们好, 我個仔今年K2, 出年考小學了, 好想入播道書院。聽闻今年有好多人考, 而我公司有4個同事嘅小朋友考但都全軍覆沒。相信學校雖新,但一定有個人之處。

想請問小一多功課做嗎 ? 有些小學都有5-6樣，又要不停默書。 我本人係working mummy, 好擔handle吾到。

請問平均你地Ｄ小朋友每天花多少時間做homework 呢, 又多吾多抄寫。

As a new school, will it be a bit messy in the adminstration ? And i cannot see much information in the school web, it is still under construction or that it?

still under construction....but I personally think that the content is good enough at this moment.  There will be increasing web content in the coming future.

The school seems only having 2 net-teachers, are they for Secordary students or Primary students.

And if teacher speaks English during lessons, and do they
request students to reply in English too.

not quite sure but I know one NET is in primary...
Students are requested to speak English only.  As told by my son that most of the P1 students in his class can manage to speak/listen in English except one or two....

sorry, 做左問題家長添！

我問過囝囝，佢話除了中文就科科都英語授課，就連PE都一樣用英文。至於習唔習慣就因人而異了，囝囝就無乜問題。但其實妳都唔需要咁擔心，小朋友吸收力強，學野又快，好快就適應架喇。 放心喇

That amount of money is for the project with HKU on Chinese subject.  This means with the past successful experience, the Chinese language will be dedicated to HKU.  Principal Lo, himself will focus on English language this year.

I don't think so for English. HKU 謝錫金教授是做中文研究的。

I remember Principal Lo told us on the Parent Help night that HKD 200k has been approved for the project, on English language proficiency ....

Sometimes, the first quiz, without telling the parents beforehand, can benchmark the starting ability of the students so as to have more understanding of them.

Like Chinese, the P1 last year was take ...

This year they have anaother project with HKU on English this year. .....

Like Chinese, the P1 last year was taken several benchmark tests over the whole year together with the project survey from HKU. The result of improvement across the year was later presented to the parents.

The test result today is not so important when you can expect there will be room for future improvement of the kids.

Maths 沒有事前通知, 但事後有派番paper, 這安排其實很好。 除了家長不需勞氣外,   亦可讓家長知道小朋友識唔識, 因為Maths 轉了英語授課。

有...for the English, it is mentioned in the handbook and we did some revision for the kids. For the Maths, we didn't know before hand and we got the paper back later .... No worry, P1 only
