Hi everybody,
Sound that this school is really nice. My boy is now studying in KCN. Can anyone share -- besides chinese language, is PTH use in other subjects/ lession? Do you satisfy with your chinese/PTH performance so far?

其實我呢不是家長是舊生
雖然我係用廣東話教學的最後一批學生
但是還有些少手痕想跟大家分享第一身的經驗
1. 其實我們那時候並沒有太多課外活動選擇，有也是被老師挑選的choir/orchestra. 如果真的被挑中，千萬千萬不要放棄機會哦。雖然可能平常要練到六點，假期又要回去，但也是可以讓你絕對感到team spirit的。包保不會後悔架。

2. 雖然是一個輕鬆的學習環境，但學生之間暗中的比較較勁是不能忽略的。尤其是到五六年級要排名次的時候。當時就是個個人都死命文書，很辛苦==

3.其實學校有很多人在五年級的時候就轉去了國際學校 eg south island。他們還適應的很好，有力跟其他從小就讀國際的競爭，可以看到學校為他們打造的基礎並不差。

兩, 三樣功課比起其他學校真係輕鬆好多喎. 因為我兩個姪仔都返傳统學校, 功課加備課起碼三小時, 最慘課外活動安排在放學後一個半小時才上, 回家又煩, 所以要係街等到够鍾才返去. 所以我才會有以上問題. 現在放心啦.

How long did the interview take?  Does the school prefer full time mom?

Will the secondary school accept 100% of the primary section?

Interview took about half hour and 6 kids / group.
My son told me that
1) Firstly, they sat outside the room and answered several questions.  
2) They also answered some questions after watched a cartoon
3) 6 kids and about 10 teachers inside a classroom.  1 to 1 interview.  (i.e. introduce themselves, What do they like?  
4)You can visit the school website, there have some photos about the interview.

My son just sucessed for G.1 admission on 27th Nov 2007
1. I think it is not very difficult to gey in.  It depends on the kids performance.  
2. The teacher told me that over 600 applications this year and will offer about 90-99 seats.  (about 30-33 per class)
3. I think you better to prepare a profile for your girl.
4. I live in Eastern District and I'm not very rich, I think parents career may be quiet important.  
5. It is a happy school, I hope my son will enjoy the school life and I wish you girl will success to get in.

3. Which types of the students do they normal accept to the school?

Last year, once i know my son was not selected in the 1st batch (i.e. before I received the "waiting" letter), i wrote to the principal immediately.  On and off, i've written 3-4 letters.  I got the confirmation on phone in the summer holiday.

Maybe you are the lucky one to receive the call earlier this year.

Date of my letter is 30 November 2006.

Actually, you need NOT to wait, just do something immediately.

Welcome!

Uptill now, I am very happy to have a right pick!

The big surprise for me is PTH!  I can't believe my son could improve PTH in such a short time. Yesterday, my son watched Disney Channel and first time in PTH version, unbelieveably, he can catch lots of sentenses from it, and tell me in Cantonese correctly.   Also, my husband used to speak PTH (HK style ) on phone, this is the funny time that my son picks his mistakes!!

There are some ECA (Extra-Curriculum Activities) but optional. Also, the school requires students to learn at least one type of musical instrument, can be arranged by the school or not:D :D
