只得15分，想試跨區報小一博吓女名校。請比較Marymount, St. Stephen's Girl and St Paul Catholic (Happy Valley)，謝謝賜教！

不是St Paul's Convent School（铜锣湾），我家大小姐读紧既係St Paul's Primary Catholic School（跑马地）.

我自己就梗係有呢个心理预備，先会同阿大小姐選呢间学校。 间学校想学生不断温书，总有原因，而我亦是認同既，所有学習，其实都要下苦功；呢个特色，亦唔係学校教育既全部，不用太放大。

我都幾有信心，同她一起面對学習既苦与樂。由细到大都係一樣，会花好多心机同时间，呢点个个父母都係一樣既。

第一階段係計分, 不是計區. 妳可以報港九新界任何一間官/津校, 所以無話跨唔跨區.

第二階段先係計區, 住12網如果揀呢兩間其中一間, 乙部擺第一, (就算)第二都好大機會會成功, 又要看隨機號碼前唔前. 如非12網就真係 ...

麟媽,

我見校曆係連續四個星期測, 3/10 至 24/10, 然後14/11 至5/12, 逢星期三測. 總之感覺好連續啦. 麟少當年仲隔個星期添呀!

範圍唔知, 見步行步. 我k3開始, 已經晚晚要大小姐溫書默書, 等她知甚麼叫坐定定, 讀野入腦.

唉! 叫小朋友玩就梗係爽架, 無憂無慮幾好呀. 但係要面對現實, 腦內要有資料庫先得架.

星期六係長/短週, 即係上下午班輪流返星期六. 星期六既堂包括:
中, 英, 數, 班主任課+閱讀堂+興趣小組.

My daughter also bingo with 15 points only .
So lucky this yr I no need to worry again as my younger one will be able to get in the yr 2008 P1 .

Could parents of SPPCS share more about the school, e.g. the volume of homework, teaching style, rate of getting into SP Secondary School?  It is not easy to make a choice only with 15 points.  Thanks.

My daughter is in P3 in Sppcs. We didn't get in the school with 15 points during the 1st round  so don't get the impression that you will definately get a seat with 15 points.And if you do not live in district 12, getting in the school during the 2nd round is not guaranteed.
After 2 years in this school, all I can say is it is not easy...esp if you are a working mum like me.The kid has to be quite disciplined as studying is done whole year round. Tests are more difficult than exams and include knowledge from previous years. I find maths test paper difficult as almost all questions (5-6 pages) are what you would call challenging or tricky questions with few questions that can be worked in one step. It is like having all the most difficult word problems in every test.
Last year,the older kids(P5-P6) I see at my bus stop waiting for the school bus seem always to be reading notes or books or newspapers. I must say that the school has "made" students who want to go on to secondary school like studying, which isn't that bad, I guess.But it is like running a marathon, really.
