i have attended to the class before.  Actually , it can help you to understand more about your kids , especially it's the first time being a mother.  However, being a modern parents, i think we need to think what sort of things are unsuitable to your kid, especially in HK ( a mixed western and chinese culture , with the " stubborn" education system, but we can;t help , we are living in this society)   So, my husband and i think that we need to teach our child in both active and traditional ways.

可能每個人吸收能力唔一樣, 我都有睇下書, 不過覺得上左堂好好多, 而且係互動, 有問題可以即刻問.  書唔知你嘅問題, 未必會提到.  我反而覺得上左堂, 再睇書令我明白同接受好多.  

我老公同我一齊上, 所以大家有共識.  我諗每個人諗法都唔同, 唔同嘅爸爸唔接受嘅野會唔同, 所以如果兩個人一齊上會好d.

Complete within 6 months.  Assignments are not too heavy.  Distance course. Around HKD13,000.

想問讀完8hrs course既papamama，
個course主要內容係咪就係大家所提果d﹖我見好多你地寫既，我自己本身都有做緊，但可能個theory我未必會好似你地咁掌握得咁好，因我始終無讀過，但用成千蚊去讀，補返d 理論又好似好貴，又懷疑有d理論我可能都知道，因本身做過兒童工作，唔知買書睇得唔得呢﹖有冇書推介﹖你地有咩意見比我﹖

聽到有d話daddy唔係好buy部份points，可否講講﹖

個topic靜左咁耐，希望有人同我分享！

My baby is now 14 months old only.  I will enrol in pre-school (3-6 y) in 2009 and present the activities to my baby.

They have 3 sessions for infants, toddlers and twos.  2 handbooks for each session.  The supplementary notes has covered the main theories of Montessori teaching.   You have to complete 1 assignment (around 90 short-answer questions) for each handbook within 2 months.  And then, you send the assignment to the tutor for marking.  So, you will complete the dipolma in 6 months.   

The handbook has very clear guideline on how to prepare and process the Montessori activities at home.  They would show you how to FYI the teaching materials.  

I think the purpose of the assignments are to make sure you fully understand the training materials.  The "mark" is the so important.  

If you want to start teaching your baby in Montessori way, this is a very good choice.

I always remind myself, equip myself b4 teaching my baby.

i took the class in march. after promoting the idea orally and practically for 5 months, my husband agreed to take the class on 24/8. I think it takes time, particularly if they ve some strong believe (my husband is a teacher himself).

I ve also bought some Mon's bks. When we take the baby to playgroup, as only one parent can accompany the baby, he will be free for 1.5 hrs. thus, he will read the bks during that time (ve to wait for us and drive us home. n also stand-by in case I need help). after reading the bks, he can more idea and also find something to be adopted in the home. so maybe reading is also a gd start.

I had joined yesterday(10sept) class, my comment is good but I can't follow some point of view(e.g. go to park half hrs/day, may try to go at Sat or Sun), I will try my best to follow Mon's theory at home first!

I still try to talk my husband to listen & follow but he is  not so interest & not agree some point of view (my presentation not well la), how can I talk with him?

想不到有關飲茶的部份 會引起那麼多回應.

其實我都是想share我在堂上get到的, 每個人也有不同的價值觀和生活態度, 我想montessori甚或其他教學法都只是理論, 至於點去實行, 每個人每個家庭也有不同做法, 而且每個BB也是獨一無二的, 所以就算同一個theory, 教不同BB都有不同方法和效果. 我想沒有對與錯, 只是各取所需.

我選擇用montessori的方法去教我的BB, 是由我初懷孕開始, 接觸不同的教學法, 最後覺得mont的方法最接近我的理念, 所以決定去深入研究和在家中實行. 我不知我是不是一個盲目的媽媽, 但我也知道什麼叫 critical mind. 不過我想我只是一個初學者, 如果有經驗的人提出意見, 我會去聽, 如果我覺得對的, 我會去做.

我認同daisy所說的, 不再帶BB去飲茶, 是因為我覺得飲茶並非一定要做的事, 而且我認同太嘈吵環境會破壞BB感官的理論.

對我個人來說, 我都不太喜歡茶樓的環境, 之前只是因為婆婆習慣去, 所以就帶同我的囡囡去. 但我覺得, 一來我囡囡對聲音好敏感, 平時訓覺隔離屋開門她都會醒, 所以我唔想再去茶樓, 怕太嘈吵的環境對她不好, 會破壞她的感官, 二來我覺得, 其實想去街, 茶樓並非唯一的選擇, 所以我和婆婆就不再帶BB去飲茶, 改去行公園和去靜一點的地方吃飯. 這是我覺得可以做得到而我和家人都願意去做的. 正如之前我有家人習慣將電視開到很大聲, 但其實這根本是一個不好的習慣, 只是之前沒有人提出要改善, 不過由於BB在, 那些電視的聲浪對她不好, 我們就叫他改啦, 開電視聽到就可以啦, 不用太大聲呀.

我想每個家庭都有自己的習慣, 有些重要有些不重要, 有些好有些不好, BB來到我們的家庭, 說真我們的生活一定會出現轉變, 例如我以前每晚3點才睡, 但有了BB到BB出世後, 我就變成了一個早睡早起的人, 這是因為BB到來, 我必須作出的改變.

我都認同不是凡事都要遷就BB, 她都要適應這個社會, 不過如果那件事我認為是對BB不好的, 我就不做啦, 對我來說, 太過遷就是明知沒問題, 只是因為BB喜好而去做才叫遷就.  例如我明知垃圾食物無益, 我就不會買給我的小朋友食. 而蔬菜有益, 也不會因為她不喜歡吃而由她去.
