Re: Hong Kong Suzuki Baby/Parent Violin on Youtube
If this is a lie, it would be one massive big lie........ :)
Jennifer Moberg began her studies as a Suzuki violinist at age 5 under the tutelage of John Klein at the Park Avenue Suzuki Studio in Rochester, NY. She received Suzuki teacher training at summer institutes at Ithaca College with Carrie Reunning-Hummel, Ed Kreitman, and Gail Johansen, with additional course work under Ronda Cole. Ms. Moberg continued Suzuki training at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music with Teri Einfeldt. Other teachers include Caonex Peguero-Camillo, Chang Guo, Calvin Lewis, Dr. Paul Chenevey, and Dr. Mark Hartman.
Ms. Moberg played with the Roberts Wesleyan College Orchestra, and was awarded the opportunity to play a concerto with them in 1998. She has been a member of the Youngstown (OH) and Greenville (PA) Symphony Orchestras, and performed with orchestras and chamber groups at Westminster and Houghton Colleges . Ms. Moberg also played with Park Avenue Chamber Music Ltd. ( Rochester , NY ) and in faculty chamber ensembles at the Hartt School of Music ( Hartford , CT ).
She taught Suzuki violin and Suzuki starter classes in New York and Connecticut , holding faculty positions at the University of Hartford 's Hartt Community Division, the Talent Education Suzuki School , and the Suzuki Music School of Westport. Ms. Moberg also ran a scholarship outreach program in inner-city Bridgeport (CT), providing Suzuki lessons to underprivileged children who would otherwise be unable to receive private music instruction.
Ms. Moberg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Houghton College , and with post-collegiate coursework and studies in Psychology from the University of Hartford . She is the Director of Music at Rightmind Kindergarten, located in Ap Lei Chau, Hong Kong , where she gives violin and general music instruction.
