Meeting place for SJS 07-08 Year 1

After a whole week of anticipation,
finally we have received the admission letter for a place in year 1 in September from SJS today.

Is there any to-be schoolmates here?

Congratulations to all of you. Are your kids studying in ESF kinders or got siblings in SJS  ? I understand that SJS has interviewed 150 kids.  Most of them are foreign kids or the above 2 categories.

Congratulations!!

Would you please share:

1) How can you make your kids attain a high English level to pass the admission interview to SJS?

2) What do you think about the langauage development of your kids? e.g. any plans to train up their other langauges (Chinese, French, etc.).

Congratulations!!

My son is studying K1 in ESFTY Kinder and SJS is my target primary.  Are your kids studying in ESF kiinder ?  Or you're on the higher priority according to their admission policy ?

Thank you very much. I think, to be admitted, my son is quite lucky:

1. He doesn't go to ESF kinder, he goes to Victoria (K2 at the moment, it's a pity that he cannot graduate from Victoria before he goes to SJS). So we are not in this priority group.

2. My husband and I are not alumni of ESF.

However, we have created a very good English environment at home and Victoria does an excellent job in developing my child's confident in using English. This may be the main reason he is able to get thru the interview.

Hello 宏媽: Congratulations! May I know whether your boy speaks English only, or plus Cantonese, or Mandarin too? I am considering to enrol my daughter in Victoria K1 to learn both English and Mandarin. Is it true that if the child speaks Mandarin and not Cantonese will receive higher priority in getting an interview at ESF?
