DBS 2nd interview

My son just finished the interview of DBS on 10/2.  Any parents have past experience on 2nd interview to share with us:

1.  2nd interview only for audition and sports performance?
2.  Borderline case for 2nd interview?
3.  They will take some applicants no need for 2nd interview?

As some 1st interview will be taken in March 2006, the 2nd one will be started after that.  As I knew that:
1. 2nd interview will only for those whom applied by stating that they have outstanding performance in sport / music
2. no information for 2nd interview
3. For those whom have outstanding result in academic, they don't need for 2nd interview as it's enough.

Thanks.

As my son is the only student from his school in the past 5 yrs.  We have no clue about the standing of his school even his academic result is good.  He performed well in the interview.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Hi ANChan,
My son also had an interview on 10/2. Do you mean that no one in the past five years can ever get into DBS at your son's school? I think you don't have to worry about it, if your son's academic result is good and performed well in interview, he had a high chance.
Just wait for the result! If he can get a place, what will you do? Reject the lucky draw?

My son's school is HK side, so no seniors applied for that.  Some girls got into DGS in the past few years.

For DSS, we applied DBS & SPCC (he is shortlisted for interview).  My son prefers DBS, but this year SPCC will announce in Mid March and DBS before Easter.  I will try to check with DBS if my son get an offer from SPCC. From past experience, DBS will not disclose the final result before the announcement.  

I will more than happy to take anyone of the offers.  Personally, I don't prefer lucky draw, it's an overkill, unfair system to penalise smart kids.
