Re: DBSPD and DPS
Hi uniquemum,
If your son cannot sit still, it will be hard to get into any of these traditional schools. Maybe your son will be happier at an ESF or international school. We have a neighbour who is British, his son is very smart and speaks perfect English and Cantonese. But he has a short temper and cannot sit still, and he failed most of his interviews including DBSPD (and no luck with the DPS draw).
Like LLT said it is not easy to secure a place in either school, unless your son has some special talent. It does help a little if your husband is an old boy and belongs to the same church.
Given that you manage to get a place at both schools, most people will opt for DBSPD simply because of the "through-train" aspect. And it does have a very nice, new, big campus. Perhaps you should go to the DBSPD Open Day this Sunday afternoon (Feb-11). I'm sure the teachers will be glad to answer all your questions.
