Hi all BK Mum & Dad,

因為高主教小學講明收左唔可以參加大抽獎,但始終係私立要比錢,請問有冇人知佢是否真係取消你個位,就算最後再叩門都冇用?

I know this year RC give a lot of offers to the applicants as some of them may give up the seat finally after the first round lucky draw.

RC is a private school. Of course you can knock their door again...

Hi Hinmum,

Really! Then I need to think carefully. Because I know many subsidized school will ask you whether you have applied them in the 2nd round. If I give up the lucky draw, I had to tell them that I did not apply their school in lucky draw which means no chance to knock door at all!

I can only chose Raimondi and forfeit any knock door chance in other school! A little bit unfair.

舊年我直頭無幫亞仔報高主教！！原因就係認為唔值得為左佢而放棄大抽獎！！

不過，我就唔認為唔公平，因為佢一早話你知遊戲規則，你接受先玩既，你唔接受咪唔要佢個學位囉。

My son is also accepted by RC and I’ve decided to give up the lucky draw. My preferences are Wah Yan and St. Joseph. However, the chance to get a place in either one is very low. RC is also my preference besides WY and SJ, so I choose RC as I don’t believe “luck”.

Hi cheerfulmon,

Same as you, my preference are also WY and St . Joe. If you don't choosse them in lucky draw, you may not have chance to knock the door. I really wish to get a place in the 3rd round though.

so I am still struggling whether to join the draw.

But the chances for St Jo should not be low, as far as I know, they have over 200 places for P1.

Three years before, I also “knocked the door” of several schools for my elder daughter. Those schools did offer interview to my daughter and did not require to see “the form of lucky draw”. It depends how you write in your letter.

Yes, St. Jo has a lot of places, because of this, most parents will choose this school and so the probability is still low
