My daughter is in P1, is there any P1 parents here?
How are your girl's test results?

My daughter is not doing good especially Chinese.. just marginal pass!

What happened? Why they have to learn Chinese at such a high level? They are probably studying in P2-3 level!!??

Can anyone share their experience studying with their daughters? I don't her to have private tutor at such an early stage...

Although the test result of my daughter was OK, I still agreed Chinese is the most difficult subject for them. I heard from some parents that their kids were failed in Chinese.

Hello! My daughter's Chinese test result is satisfied as she got ninety something. I don't agree with you that Chinese is out of their level. How about the results of other subjects? Please share your view.

The standard is getting higher and higher each year. My daughter is in P.4 this year, the workload and level of difficulty is doubled the ones in P.3.
In P.1 my daughter can average get 85-90 marks in all subjects, but each year dropped 5-10 marks in each subject.
Yes, I agree. The P.4 Chinese level is the same as what I learnt when I was in Secondary one many many years ago.

I heard from P2 parents that the school has purposely made the test quite difficult for the students to push them work harder in the remaining months of the year.
I think this is true as the length and contents of the upcoming Chinese dictation is remarkably reduced.

I also heard that the Chinese level of P1 & P4 have been upgraded by the school, the syllabus are much harder than those in the previous years.

Yes, u r right. The new Chinese test book "快樂學語文" is more difficult than the previous syllabus. And the Chin. supplementary exercises are also much harder and longer in length than the ones in P.3.

Exam is coming.. I saw there is Maths I and Maths II on the P.4 Exam Schedule. Do you know what is the difference?

Hi,

Coz we haven't ever seen the Exam papers. But according to what my girl said, both papers covered the exam syllabus. One paper will concentrate on more diagrams and the other concentrates on problem solving. She also said one is easier and one is harder. Don't know it is right or not. We will only know the marks on the day of REP (review of exam papers).

Hi! 各位Convent 既媽咪我女女今年都係P1既學生.須然上次亞女test的成績OK, 但學校教既野實在太急, 唔好
話個女抖唔到氣,我都抖唔到氣......我女返學係返得好開心.但就成日病...........好擔心佢下星期考試,而家又病緊啦!
你哋有冇此情形呢!
