Re: 澳洲 - 新南威爾斯
So you've chose a school for her already? Try to meet more parents in the orientation and exchange phone numbers, very important to have a support group. My niece was born there and have no problem at school at all but you may think their level is somehow lower than Hong Kong, just don't worry, because they encourage children to think more, not just memorise.
You may wanna give your daughter some supplementary Chinese trainings (my cousin did it for his 3 children and most Chinese parents do the same), as long as it's not overloaded for a child, no one's going to against it. I think it's much easier to give her a happy childhood in Sydney than in Hong Kong.
If you are a full time mom, spend more time to show her the world! Bring her to the parks nearby and enjoy the nature. Don't worry too much about her study (or the too less homework issue) unless she can't discipline herself. I saw many girls who're raised up in Chinese (Hong Kong) families in Sydney, are sooooooooooo smart and can easily get into a good university. Very few exceptional cases. |
