"a few" is a small amount and is used before plural nouns.
"a little" is a small amount and is used before uncountalbe nouns.

The 'little' in your example seems to be an adjective describing 'a boy' not describing the amount.

Instead, I agree with Glau. Please clarify if not correct.

If there are 3 little boys, you should say "a few little boys".
