Hi

my son with a mathematics test, it will divided by 2 parts, one is Problem and one is Mechanical.
Anyone can help me to define the meaning of the problem and mechanical, tks !

I GUESS -

"mechanical" refers to short, simple questions, e.g., 2+3=?, 4-?=2, etc.

For problem, probably it refers to long questions, like, "Brother has 5 oranges, he ate 2 and then his mother gave him another 3. How many oranges does he has now?"...

What do you think?
