totally different for chinese exam!
this yaer and before,there was only 2 papers,in 07 onwards there'll be 5 papers:reading, writing,listening,oral presentation and integrated skills.be concise, no more articles to study intensively,coz no 讀本問答.every school study differnent articles.

有200多篇模文, 教師仍有模文可教, 但教法和學習方法應有很大之分別.

For English, it will not divided into 2 syllabus like before. Just have 1 syllabus for all students in 2007.

Besides, School base assessment will be counted in both of English and Chinese. Because of teachers complaining, some schools will count SBA results and some will not in 2007, so, in the same year of examination, there are 2 different counting marks method, that is in the state of confusion.

中學會考中、英文科原定於2007年加入校本評核，今年9月升讀中五的學生是首批考生。

為回應前線教師訴求，2007年學校可自由選擇是否加入，至2009年須強制實施。

2006成績=公開試成績
2007成績:(學校自由選擇1 或者2).....點能一年兩制?

1.  =公開試成績+校本評核成績
2.  =公開試成績

中文分卷......
今年:分2卷:卷一寫作 , 卷二閱讀(讀本,有得靠背書)
2007年:分5卷:
卷別評核能力
卷一閱讀能力 (沒得靠背書, 因為評核能力 )
卷二寫作能力
卷三聆聽能力
卷四說話能力
卷五綜合能力

英文課程:
今年:課程A......容易D,  課程B......深D:(學校/學生自由選擇)
2007年:不再分A , B 課程

校本係一定要做的呀,但可選擇呈唔呈分去考試局,好似最遲要十月做決定

next year(08 CE),all schools should do SBA,but can choose if the marks counted into the public exam results.

09 CE,all schools have to do SBA and the marks must be counted into the public exam results.

this is the 3年過渡期。

i think 07 english results will be a hot topic,as CMI schools (and EMB) cannot hide their students' eng. standard by taking syl A(much easier).CMI and EMI schools taking the same exam.

Agreed.

Teachers should concentrate more on teaching.

Heard from my friends' who are teachers,  not only band 1 schools choose decide not to do SBA,  but also band 3 schools choose that or do SBA in 2007,  but will not count in students CE results . Many teachers and students are also think that :

1.. SBA is time-consuming job,  because their CE results will be adjusted according to the students' public examination.

2.. In different schools,  SBA performing method is different.  How to ensure the CE results are fair?
