我本身係深水步校網, 小學校網都有幾多choices, 不過到中學就女仔好d, 男仔無mud choices. 反而油尖旺中學校網就男仔好好多, 所以我最後幫阿仔轉咗出油尖旺校網讀小學.

thanks for your information.
my son is studying in K2 and we're living in Yau Ma Tei (oppsite to new catholic primary school) . As my brother is living in Sham Shui Po, we're wondering whether my son should keep net 31 or change to 40. Actually my son has only 15 marks therefore we don't think he can choose a catholic primary schools or Ying Wa at first round even i want to.
Kindly advise your opinion for me. tks.

Hi charie,

Agree, 15 marks is not enough to choose good schools at 1st round. Even if you have 20 marks you may still need a draw for favourite schools. At lucky draw stage, I believe there are at least 10 applicants or even more to compete for one seat at each of the favourite schools of favourite regions. Anyway, if your kid have luck he can still win a seat.

To choose between net 31 or net 40 it depends on which school you prefer for yr boy, either the two YMT catholic primary schools or Ying Wa. For me I will choose the latter because it is "through train" to Ying Wa secondary college.

agreed your suggestion, that's why i would like to change the name of governement bill for my brother's district in order to get more chance to apply a ying wa at 1st round. but i just worry if it's not sucessful, i don't know how i can do. : (

hi mission,

Can I have your suggestion? My son has 20 marks, first born and catholic. I live in district 40. Should I choose Yau Tin (old or new) in the first round as we have 20 marks? and choose Ying Wa for the second round? What is the different between the 2 Yau Tin? Is it Old Yau TIn is acaedmically stronger and more traditional? Which one is better?

如果在2nd round 大抽獎抽到英華的故然最好. 因為是一條龍, 但如果不成功便最好選油尖旺或九龍城的小學. 因為此兩區的net 確較深水埗的 net 好很多呢! 當然只是說男孩子.
故本人很贊成 bowiema 的做法.

女孩子呢? 當然深水埗 net 最好了.

以上只是本人的意見.

thanks for your information. can you advise more alternative primary school in yau ma tei for our reference? or do you think i can try to use net 40 to apply 英華 first ? as you know, i'm living in yau ma tei, therefore i think it's easlier to change to net 30 again for secondary school, do you think so ?
actually i only know 英華 or Yau Tin is a good school, do you have any school for our checking ?

Many questions:

1. The division of secondary net is only 18 districts and I live in Net 32 of primary's net, is it also within 油尖旺's secondary net?

2. And my son can study in a Shamshuipo primary school and choose a 油尖旺 secondary school during lucky draw during the time of choosing secondary school?

3. By the way, other than Ying Wa, how to choose other Shamshuipo govt / subsidiary school?
I just know 聖紀文，嘉靈, are they still good?

4. Lastly, 有個疑問在我心中好耐，我在深水步大(70-80年代讀小學)，私立的聖方濟各英文小學一向在我心中都麻麻地，深水步區好多好多津貼學校都要比她好(在我心中)，好難接受近年個個爭崩頭要考入去，是否年代不同，學校質素也變了?

現行的升中是可以以學校地址或住址選其一校網的.
不過到我地d仔女(小學都未讀)選中學時,一定會改了,因為現行巳經計劃會否開放校網,變成四區,(大部份的家長都贊成),而明年開始小六自行選校,(不計校網)巳由只選一間增至兩間,所以我覺得選小學應該看學校這幾年辦學的質素,好似今次油尖旺校網cut英中的事件,都係人算不如天數,還是著眼選好小學比較實際d!
