Festival Walk - Ice Skating Lesson

Dear all,

Do anyone know whether teacher Mike is good or not. Since I want to switch teacher... Any mama's kid is following Mike now, please advise..

I want to know too. I am planning to send my son (wil be 3 of the coming May) to learn ice skating in their school this summer.

Since their fee is quite expensive, can any mom who have experience there share the info which coach is better.

Don't worry, kids normally pick it up very fast.. My daughter learned 1 months before three (more than 1 year la), she picks it up very good, but since the coach is a bit loose, as I think my girl can pick up more, I want to switch to another coach..

BTW, are you living in North Point, since my friend's daughter also called Abby...

I just want to say all FW's coaches are not bad ; all coaches have much experience to judge the kids' ability what to learn......
What is the expected level for a four years old kid?
What is the importance of learning skating for a kid? Happy? Interests? Awards?????? or to prove a kid gifted??

Which level your girl is having now? And, can you PM me the name of your current coach?

My girl also learnt in FW since Jul 05 and I also have same worry as you did for my current coach, and is thinking of changing to someone good.

請問學溜冰要幾錢一個月，一個月有幾多堂，時間幾長，如果係太古城上課，通常要排幾耐，先有得學。係咪最好幾個小朋友一起學。

My girl learnt from Mike previously. He's attentive to the kids and patient. In general, from my observation, all the coaches are fine.

Other than Festival Walk and Tai Koo, there is another place where have Ice Skating Lesson. Please see below site
http://www.dragoncentre.com.hk/html/ice.html

For Festival Walk and Tai Koo, they have limit practice time. But at dragoncentre, you can practice for a whole day. Besides, you can have better view for taking photo/video for your child.
