My bb could recognise star shape (by pointing it in the book or elsewhere in the street) and say "ar" when she was 11 months. She could recognise circle, triangle, square & hexagon and say "cirso", "tritri", "square" & "hexi" when she was around 15-16 months.
I also agree with elysemama that the chance of babies in 6 months understanding shapes is minimal. bb may understand or recognise shapes in early age but they just don't know how to express themselves and show their parents their knowledge on these until, say, after 12 months. |
