06年KET剛於1月24日截止報名,約三四月左右考試.通過考試, 得分為PASS OR PASS WITH MERIT.
05年11月參加考試的學生已於1 月24日左右收到結果.

我大仔就左12/05考了KET，成績就Pass，可以囉到證書，
他也考了Movers & Flyers 成績就囉到14個盾。

Cambridge KET or PET證書，要有Pass & Pass with Merit才可以有certificate。

什麼是英語入門考試（KET）？
劍橋大學英語五級水準考試（MSE）系列考核從初級到高級的普通英語技能。KET是該系列的第一級，其水準相當於歐洲委員會制定的歐洲語言教學大綱的A2級水準。
KET可為希望參加劍橋二級英語考試（PET）其他劍橋ESOL考試的考生打下堅實基礎。KET同時也是劍橋商務英語証書（BEC）考試的預備級考試。

KET的報考對象
英語入門考試（KET）是為具備初級水準的英語學習者設計的考試。達到KET水準的學生應具備在英語國家進行交往或工作的基本語言技能，如提供和理解個人資訊、問路等。KET每年世界有來自60多個國家的40000多人次參加該考試。該考試考核基礎語言能力水準，這些技能對於實際的工作和社交活動很有價值。

考試內容
KET包括閱讀與寫作、聽力、口語三部分內容，其中閱讀與寫作部分佔總分的50%，聽力、口試各佔25%。
閱讀與寫作（試卷1）時間：1小時10分鐘
閱讀-考生要閱讀短篇文章（其中包括通知），大眾文章的基礎上理解文章大意並能提取細節資訊。
寫作-考生需完成三項任務：文章填空，完成表格，寫一個便條。

聽力（試卷2）時間：約25分鐘
考生在聽短篇通告、稍長的對話及獨白等錄音材料的基礎上提取事實性資訊。

口試（試卷3）時間：8-10分鐘
口試考核考生用英語談話及交流的能力。形式為兩名考生同時進行。考生與一位考官交談；考生之間利用提示提出和回答問題。

報考時間及地點
KET考試每年舉行兩次，分別在五月至六月，十一月至十二月的固定日期進行。

考試結果的評定和發佈
KET試卷的評分工作都在劍橋大學進行。閱卷人為具有相應級別英語教學經驗的專家，他們受過相應培訓，並在閱卷全過程受經驗豐富的高級閱卷人檢查監督。

KET考試成績分四個級別：
優秀（Pass with Merit），合格（Pass），接近合格（Narrow Fail），不合格（Fail）。考試分數是三部分試卷分數的總和。每位考生都會于考試結束六個星期後收到考試結果報告，其中不僅提供考生的總分數，還標明考生是否在某部分試卷的得分極高或極低。通過考試的考生將于考試後三個月獲得証書。

我仔五年級考flyer,只有13盾. 六年級(11/05)考ket, 獲Merit. 每次我只去旺角天利行書店買書, 連cd, 讓他自學. 就去考試了. so far o.k. 啦.

Where is the bookshop? How much is the book including CD? Can I buy that in Commercial Press or other place? I also want to let my child try KET in May. Tks a lot !

Dear 3kidsma,

Congratulation that your son has got "merit"! What kind of books did you buy for preparation? Past papers suggested by British Council? They have 2 sets of past paper with CD/cassette for sale, around HK$180@. Anywhere else to get these for a lower price?

由英國文化協會網上下載表格, 再寄去報名.
阿仔考flyer時, 我在深圳書城買的書及tape, 不知是否不合香港用, 成績結果不理想.
今次在天利行買ket,亦係叫阿仔按書跟cd做, 我再跟答案改, 盡我所識解給他知. 但說話無得溫, 如是也.
