My daughter Rosaline is now 3-yr-9-mth. Her mami enlisted her taking up a Kumon English/Chinese/Math course this Summer i.e. 3yr-3-mth. I was alarmed by the fact that Kumon does admit such a small kid!
I believe it is very boring i.e. daily homework at 10 pages while repeating writing & repeating writing the same.
However, their progress is a little bit faster than school studies. For example, Kumon has already completed teaching counting upto 20 while school has just completed counting upto 10. It is their way of studying and that's why many parents prefer it.
I personally don't prefer it but it is still a good way to train up your kids to focus/concentrate on their assignments. If you have selected some traditional & tough school for your kid, may be Kumon training can prepare your kid for their tougher K2 studies.
