Do you want your kid study half day or full day? There are nursery and kindergarten. Nursery serves kids at age 2-6, while kindergarten serves kids between 2yr8mons and 6yrs.
Kindergartens are usually half day school and nurseries are usually whole day child care centers. Most parents prefer sending their kids to half day kindergarten than whole day nursery.
My girl was born in Sept 2003, she is now studying in whole day nursery. I will let her study whole day nursery until going to primary school because both my husband and I have to work, nursery could take care of my girl for whole day.
But if you prefer sending your kid to kindergarten, it's time to look for school, too. You have send applications to your preferred kindergartens. I know that most kindergarten started interview already.
No matter what kind of school you prefer, I highly recommend you to send your kid to nursery now, so that you kid could learn more about self-discipline and self-care. My girl shows big improve on taking care of herself, putting away shoes, eating on her own...,etc. It's really amazing! She sings new songs to everyday, she tells me what she have done in school. I am so facinated by what she have told me everyday. |
