Sorry, we, BK parents, decided to become responsible and have decided NOT to compare schools. It is unfair to kids who are not studying in famous schools.

Our motto is: All schools are equally good and all kids are equally smart.

All of my four kids are studying in very very famous schools and schools which all parents think are dream schools on the island.

Some BK parents have already expressed discontent and I think I should not mention the names of these schools, to be fair.

Perhaps this answer will make you happy. "you have made a very good choice, all three of them are the very very best schools in Hong Kong. Draw lots if you want to choose one, then pray that God let you win in the Lucky Draw, if you were not an old boy of the school".

No, this question is not raised by me, and I don't live in WanChai. Those three good schools has nothing to do with me, and I am not joining the lucky draw. I just want Maisy to get the information she want from this forum, not someone to teach her not to pick schools, all schools are equally good, this is bull_shxt. Definitly, some schools are better than the others in some perticular point of views, some schools are more suitable than the others.

Hkchina,

The crux of the question is, Maisy doesn't seem to have any special extra relationship marks for her kid in any of the three schools, she only has the basic marks for her kid, which all kids already have. So which school of the three is the best would not be her criteria because she has no choice. she will depend on her luck, ie, the lesser applications for a particular school, the greater the chance. Can't help her.

but she still need to decide which one she shall fill in as her 1st choice, as I can see, she is asking opinion from the others, and this is what this forum is for.

Hi,

I will choose by criteria such as :-
. higher chance of straight promotion to secondary school (Hennessy School will be last priority);
. more attention for kids, not too demanding academic work (maybe Wah Yan and St. Joseph are the same)

In lucky draw, may be you should pick only 1 band one school as the places of these popular schools would be filled in the round of 'first choice'. The 'second choice' should be a safe one or you will be wasting your chance.

When I saw what you have quoted in this thread, I think I must write something to interrupt.

I totally agree with hkchina that what you have been stating in this discussion is merely a show-off of your case.  Sorry, nobody will appreciate such an act.

When you say all schools are equally good and kids are all equally smart, then why do you at the same time say that our kids are all in the very very best school...you should only say your kids are studying in NORMAL SCHOOL only, nothing special.

Be honest, are the schools your kids studying the target school of you and you get the application for them and choose the school for them or did you pick it up randomly???  The answer is obvious !!!  You plan for this !!!  But
I see no point you discourage other caring parents to search information of good schools for the good of their beloved kids.

If you don't have any useful info or not interested on this topic, you'd better open a new topic to invite people to "share your happiness of having kids studying in the dream schools of others"  I doubt if anyone would like to give it a damn.

You have misconceived both what I and hkchina said. I think what Maisy needs to do is to check which of the three schools has the least application for admission and then try that school so that her kid's probability in the lucky draw is higher. She does not need to bother about which school is the best for her kid because they are all equally good. She just need to thank God if her kid gets into anyone of the three.
I have never heard any parents who regretted having been picked by anyone of the three schools. I only heard parents said they are very joyful when they got a place, no matter which one of the three.
Don't worry about how my four kids got into dream schools. It was God's effort and my kids' effort.
