don't worry too much, I think for the kindegarten like KM, they didn't focus on the language development of the applicants, as the teacher didn't ask my son's name and age. but on the other hand, my friend's son was asked..
when was your baby born? mine is late Sept born boy so he also cannot speak well. I am so lucky that he can speak his name during the SC's interview, before, he was unwilling to speak though i trainned for long time,, maybe he knows which school his mom like  .
Frankly speaking, most of the kindergartens understand that the language development of boys are slower, and they didn't expect your son to speak too much .. just relaxed, try your best to train him and guide him to speak, if he cannot speak more, just let him play more and he may show his body language during the interview.
Re York vs Keen Mind, i would prefer Keen Mind.
I think no kindergarten is the best, not xx is better than xx, is difficult to compare apple to apple, is just the perference of the parents.
