they are what they are
Interesting to hear the opinions so far.
Frankly, they are what they are, which reflects on today's interview.
Basically, I think we all 'know' what we are getting ourselves into. They are 2 very well-known schools and they are not going to change as long as the demand is there, which, from today's turnout, is proven.
So it still boils down to our (parents') preference. Traditional, or a mix of traditional and Chinese (St Cat) Again, this is very personal and it really depends on how your child is, which should always be the focus of our choice.
But I must say Kentville is 'better' than what I've heard.
At least the teachers / administrators are friendly, which from my friend's comments, last year they were not. They were very communistic and ' I talk, you listen' type. So today they were ok. Smiling and has eye contact.
Anyway, if your child/ you have done your best, if still not accepted, it's not meant to be.
Cos frankly, I think most kids would be able to do what they want, the puzzles, singing, saying their names etc....most go to nursery anyway. If they can't do it there and not accepted, then this school is not right for your child then, I think. Wrong support. |
