My son study P2 in GT school. Last year, it was intersting year. The school provided a lot of activities to get parent participate. We were in the school almost every month. They got 2 ~ 3 times 家長會, Two of them, you will have chance to talk to 班主任 in person. In addition, 班主任 will contact patent one to two times over the phone to expain the situation in the school. Every weekend, 班主任 will have comment on his 手冊. Since my son is troublsome. She has long comment on his 手冊 every weekend. I think that is advantage for small size of the class (22~ 24 studnets a class). 班主任 will very clear and understand each student situation.
In P2, that is big different. All 中文 lesson are in mandarin. As parent, we have to learn mandarin with him. Otherwise, we can't review his Chinese homework and have dictation for him. This year, the school have native english teacher for all english lessons in P2. There are 7 ~ 8 native english teacher lessons a week. In normal case, it should be 3 lessons a year. The school have 5 native english teachers this year. It is good or bad. I have some parents complaint native english teachers would not have enough perssure to student.
