yes, my son joined the playgroup on sat when he was about 17 months. I think the activities are OK....sometimes they sing, dance, and sometimes do some art work.
But I think it all depends on whether the class teacher is good or not. If the class teacher is patient enough to let the child explore, to encourage the child to participate more in the games, then she is a better teacher. If the teacher just treated the lessons as her job only, your child would feel that and he may not be really happy with the lesson.
I felt that my son was not happy with the lesson. But once, his class teacher hasn't been there and there was another teacher came to teach the lesson. My son was very happy on that lesson because that teacher was really patient and she can really get the children interested in the lesson.
Maybe you can try 1 month first, to see your child like it.....
