Dear jj2458,

I  received confirmation from 音樂小學 for my son too yesterday. It is one of my favourites and it is highly likely that I will pay the reservation fee.  I am now struggling to choose among two other schools which also offered places to my son.  

Are you going to accept the offer?

Dear hinyanma ,
I still not make up my desicion,since this the first school on my list which announce the result of interview.  the reservation fee is too expensive ($1000). I also want to know which two school offer a place to your son and can you tell me what is the main reason you want to choose 音樂小學.Thanks

其實音小也有很多applicants.在1st round 我見interview也很多人.當然佢收1000比較多,但我相信家長可認真考慮才選擇此校.

我兒是第一輪(7月9日面試),我已交留位費 o

以我所知及所見一定有好多人申請,我亦知有不少人fail,而且第一輪咁早考試故大多人都會留位,妳係第二輪(第三輪?)其實餘位不多,故我認為妳應先留位(雖然$1000真係好貴), 除非在留位deadline日期前收到其他學校通知 啊! 另 音小12月15日前要交埋第一個月份之學費,我反而覺得真係要諗諗交唔交 ? 我都希望在 12月15日前其他學校會收我個仔 !!!
你知今年競爭真係好劇烈 !!!

我認為妳可以叫妳朋友12月15日後致電或寫信 (誠意打動校長), 因為 12月15日要收埋第一個月之學費,即係要再交2900幾,一來唔係少錢,二來12月中應該好多學校已經出收生信,好多家長都會作考慮,甚或取消學位(唔交2900,相信都當
取消學位啦) !!! 那段時間相信有好大機會,妳朋友個女咁希望
讀,可以叫佢個段時間再試!!!唔好放棄 !!

LV77講得對.亞囡有同學去年考第一次音小是吳收,1月寫信叩門,後再有機會考多次就收了.如果希望讀,唔好放棄.

Dear jj2458,

St. margaret(Direct susidy school in Sham Shui Po) and 啟 基 also offered places for my son.  st. margaret is more academic and I got the impression that the teachers are strict but the advantage is the campus is new and large and the medium of instruction is in English since some students were english speaking people.  As for 啟基, I like the element of 藝術教育 and 五心教育 but the campus is not that new.

ICQM attracts me since my son loves music very much and he got talent in this aspect.  On the other hand, the teachers are all patient and nice and they are Christian with the same mission and vision.  The principal and the whole school staff are very committed to develop the school as well.  The campus is large and the facilities are good.

Hope that the information on ICQM will help you make the decision.
