problem gifted child

pls help,i have a problem gifted child, who have high IQ but low EQ, he is clever but cannot write or write extremely slow, such as write 2 sentences in one hour, he like dreaming, he can't even write in the exams, all papers is almost blank, he is in P.2, want to switch school for him, because he study in traditional school which have a lot homework a day,anybody know is GT(gifted talent) school is suitable for him

Hi, Babyvinvin

Some gifted child do have problem or hinderance in writing or even reading, so you may need to bring your child to have test or accessment on this aspect.  For GT school, do visit the school website to have more details about the school.  One of my friend's friend who have 2 kids, one is gifted child and the other is not so outstanding, the gifted child do study very good in GT school (show his talent in the school), but comment and result from his younger boy is just so so....  One thing impressed me a lot is their tutors, who are really professional, but their ideas for class jumping for those talented kid cannot persuade me as I don't think what they suggested and provided is as ideal as what they said.

But what I can believe is that your kid will be much happier in studying in this kind of school rather than those traditional one.  Good luck!
