留意番，佢所謂deferral其實係當你重新申請一次Reception (or higher grades)，申請日期由defer嗰日計，要再排過再interview過，只係唔收多你一次application fee。

見到你喺另一個post嘅留言…我覺得讀多一兩年中文幼稚園中文都唔會好得幾多…反而確定咗入讀IS龍校，可以屋企即刻轉哂中文台。

我都有呢個concern, 如果入左IS, 你屋企會唔會全轉中文？小朋友會唔會願意講？會唔會因為轉左中文後英文又會退步左，什至講得差？

our kid is the current tko nursery student. I would say your worry is justified but dun overthink, my dear.
We deliberately speak only Cantonese to our boy since day 1 he was born as it is such a harder language. His English level would NOT become weaker as long as you choose a good school.
I could assure you our kid's English in fact is getting better and betterby day. He is so confident in speaking to our helper or stranger in both English and Cantonese.
if Chinese is a big concern to you. Just sign your child up with some Chinese classes outside. this is what we did.
I recommend FIS to people around me as well.

cantonese oral speaking has no issue for my child as mentioned in my last comment.

我小朋友K1-K2 喺IS幼稚園，但唔係一條龍，未考Y1前我地一半半，唔敢講晒某一種語言。加上屋企有菲律賓姐姐，喺屋企好多時大家都講英文。收到一條龍IS offer之後，我地刻意轉返中文，有排COVID在家，爺爺嫲嫲成日揾佢玩，佢中文突飛猛進，自自然然就會講中文。因為本身已有能力用英文溝通，又未到寫作呢啲地步，所以唔會話點樣「退步」的。

到新學校開學，返全日，唔計ECA都成6個鐘，一個月內佢已經明顯喺屋企都轉返台講英文。要㩒住佢、同佢解釋返點解喺屋企一定要講中文、點解我地要學中文，同埋我亦要不停糾正常見嘅家人唔可以就佢講英文。校外課外活動我地揀廣東話嘅上（即係跳舞呀、溜冰呀嗰啲，全部人都講廣東話）。呢個模式下，除左一開學時佢混亂左一排，其他時候我女係好肯講廣東話。

咁細個學習語言嘅能力好高，英文唔算一個難嘅語言，一定唔使擔心。反而要花心思keep住佢肯講廣東話、有豐富廣東話vocab去表達自己感受，佢表達到自己先會肯講。

Hi. I applied for NS for 23-24 for my girl. Of course we are yet to receive any invitation to interview/assessment but may I ask if you could share the process of NS assessment?

I have applied 22 to 23 Nursery too but no invitation for interview has been received. I wonder if the interview is arranged in accordance with the date of application (mine is end Jul 21). When did u submit yours?

The kids go into the classroom area in groups of 5-6. Each group has two teachers. The kids will do various activities (playing with toys, drawing, listening to stories, chatting with the teachers) while you wait in the canteen.

Thanks! They do invite according to the date the applications were received. I applied in May but sibling priority places us at the front of the queue.

Did you check with Admissions about your application status? I assume your child has a foreign passport? July 2021 doesn't sound that late... They didn't make an announcement about Nursery admissions until September. The school still wasn't sure Nursery will be offered in 2022-23 when I enquired in May, so I could only apply for Reception.

no regular French lesson yet for nursery. However, one of the TA is French native and in addition to that, every Wed, they will let French stream reception students to mingle with intl stream. therefore, my son now knows one or two simple French now

They only intake 1 class of 25-28 kids. Applied in July 21 for 2022 intake is quite late honestly. I submitted the application for 2024 RC (will move to 2023 NS) in Aug 2020.

May I also ask if the environment outside the school is bad now? Since there is construction on going next to the school at the moment. Is it very noisy and dusty?

You're super early. In recent years, I know people who got assessment invitations (for TKO Reception) even though they applied in September (e.g. Sep 2020 application for RC 2021-22). That's why I think applying July 2021 for RC 2023-24 stands a decent chance...
