My son has been there for 6 months when he was 2 years old. Then he attends a full day nursery in Sept that year, so he could not stay in the playgroup anymore as playgroup for children below K1 is only available on weekdays.

Last semester, 9/2004-9/2005, I have my son joined again the English learning playgroup for K1 every Saturday.

Personally, I quite like this centre, and I see quite a lot of kids improving their English skill here, but not my son. :cry: As I compare my son with other kids, I think it should be my son own problem. Therefore, I quit this class starting last month and save the money for my son's other activities, i.e. swimming class. However, my son like to attend the playgroup very very much; I need to dig out reasonable excuse to calm him down when I told him no more English class on Saturday.

Playgroup for babies, this one should be already real good. You can have my recommendation!

English learning for bigger kids, I would have some 保留, I also need more comments from various parents, if available; my own comments is the English taught 不夠生活化 .... Hmm... maybe I subscribed in a wrong class for mainly in phonic learning, I wondered.

Thanks for you information and sharing.

My son is 2yrs and 4 months old. In the coming year, I plan to let him attend the playgroup instead of placing him in nursery due to some reason. Any suggestion for me. Thanks in advance.

Well... in this case, then you might have to enroll in two courses to let your child has 4 days of playgroup class.

Have you been introduce how this playgroup runs?  No parents are allowed to accompany; they have snack time, toilet time & play time in the 2-hour session.  Actually, very much like a 1/2 day nursery.

For another choice, have you check out 愉景方方, they have playgroups for pre-kindergarten kids, too.  I have no information on this but I know some parents in BK enroll this for their children.

If attending Step Ahead, my concern is this is a tall building, in case of emergency, the kids has to walk down or up the long stairs.  I, myself, will stay or have my maid stays in the waiting area all through the 2-hours for safety reasons.

I heard that this learning centre is quite good. I also will let my son to study when he is 18 months. Many BK moms told me that this school is very good and their kids can learn more english. I think I will try.
