My son is taking 柏斯親子鋼琴班 now. I can tell u, the kids will happy and enjoy of this course. But dun make many hopeful of this course, just think let him to relax. Coz if u want to learn the piano, u should take the 1:1, unless yr kids is under 4yrs, coz their hand is so small , not enough to handle the piano, and may not have the patient to sit for a hour. My son tomorrow is the Fourth lesson, the teacher is also good, and she told me that of last lesson( 1:1), maybe my son now is 4yrs&half, so she want me after this 10lessons and change to 1:1.

All mami,

This course is 25 lessons, but if the teacher think yr kid is not ready for 1:1 , she will tell u to continue of this course until she think yr kid can handle for the piano. This morning my son took the lesson, and i talked with his teacher too, she told me she can let my son try 1:1 on the 9,10lesson, just she private change to me, coz she want to see my son can change to 1:1 after this 10 lessons. Coz my is 4& half now, she think maybe this course will be so slow for him.
My son is in Whampoa, the teacher is Miss Cheung.

其實各位選擇柏斯親子鋼琴斑 or Tom Lee JMC COURSE之前, 要考慮希望子女學到什麼?

如果希望子女學鋼琴....
本人認為柏斯親子鋼琴斑 and Tom Lee JMC COURSE 幫助不大. 因為曾經有學生上過這些class, 但之後開始1:1 問題就出現....
These two classes 為令學生至少有 1 曲表現, 都會使用非常容易的方法. e.g. 用 1,2,3 OR do, re, me 令小朋友容易記得. 但要知道正式學樂器需要看五線譜. 到時小朋友便會對讀譜有困難. :cry: :cry:

不過如果希望子女enjoy music, 過happy summer or 增加親子關係, these classes is ok - ga !

I don't agree. After my daughter attended 柏斯親子鋼琴斑, she knew what was A,B,C and knew how to play small pieces of songs and read 五線譜 (e.g. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, London Bridge is falling down ...). Now she is learning piano 1:1 and there gets no problem.

係呀，柏斯親子鋼琴班是用ABC同五線譜教的，同一般教琴老師的教法沒有多大分別。

Tom Lee is using 1,2,3 and do re me to teach the kids, & also use the digital piano. Since the digital piano is too soft for touching, it's easy for kids to control.
However, it makes them feel difficult if they start using a real piano. Their fingering will be a little bit flat. :cry: You know the fingering is very important for playing piano ga-ma.

Dear HealthYan,
At first, I registered to wait for the Music Wonderland Class and JMC at Tom Lee when my daughter was 2.5yrs old. As you know, the waiting list is so long that you never get a reply within one year. Besides, I think it is difficult for us to accompany her to attend the class for 2 years. Then, I tried to ask Parsons and found that there was 親子鋼琴斑 available at Festival Walk Branch. So, I let her and her father joined the class at Parsons.
So far, I think I make the right decision because the teachers at Festival Walk Parsons were quite good and could raise my daughter's interest in learning piano.

Could you please PM me more information regarding the course (such as school fees and how many lessons for the whole course). I am living in Lam Tin District that I can take 柏斯 at Laguna City. My daughter is now 3 years old and she seems likes to play piano (I have a small 座地電子piano at home!

各位媽媽,
我女在tom lee學jmc巳大半年.共有88堂, 2年時間完成此課程.
我亦排了年幾才有位, 一班收12位小朋友. 各人年紀相若. 但上左四堂後, 返的人越來越少. 至現在只有八人返. 我覺得佢地的課程編排幾好, 不是只注重小朋友彈琴的部份, 在聽拍子, 音樂, 動作等方面亦相當注重! 老師亦稱職及專業!
以前我比個女學過彈琴, 佢只係好努力的記音符及拍子. 完全領略唔到彈琴的樂趣! 但係現在, 佢就好投入音樂及彈琴中, 最重要係佢在此學得多元化d, 輕鬆d! 好自然佢自信心強d!
