My child attends their programs for quite a while. I think they maintain good quality in overall.

The classes are all in English. Some teachers are Westerners, some are native speakers. I like their programs and their space is very clean.

They are moving to a bigger campus this summer, 4000 sq ft in Prince Edward. I wish my child will enjoy more happy summer experience there.

My girl enrolled their Easter Workshop in end March. She enjoyed it very much. I have enrolled their Summer Fun program already. Hoping my girl will have another happy experience !

And their coordinator Ms. Kowk is a very nice and patient lady. She analyse my girl's character and suggest me which class to join. Very professional.

I just joined their course which is called "Creative Move 1" which is for 12-24months and will start the course by next Tue. The course fee is $1040 / 8 lessons

hi! i am interested in the course " creative move 1" by graceful hand, however, there is no trial course offer. currently i am attending the PG for my bb 19 months, by the native speaker teacher, however, she cannot control well about the bb, which most of the bb loves to run around, walk around, which cannot concentrate at course. I am wondering if the native speaker does care about the discipline , different to the chinese teacher.

can you please advise comment,

[size=small]我同囡囡今日上第1堂,整體上對於15個月o既佢黎講算唔錯,雖然佢未識講野,但從佢o既笑聲話比我知道係開心,最緊要佢唔怕醜,夠主動,由其miss一唱歌有大動作,我捉住佢隻手腳一齊做,佢就笑到卡卡聲,雖則小朋友偶有週圍走坐唔定,但都唔太影響完成晒d遊戲,勞作仔,worksheet, etc....遲d會搬大地方真好,我會keep住報名

Yes, they don't offer trial lesson, I think due to their long waiting list.

As you say, I attended some other playgroups, most Westener teachers were too relax and too much occupied with free play time. So I don't believe Westeners are better, most of the time, they speak or sing even less than Asian teachers.

The teachers in Graceful Hands are quite stable, the same playgroup teacher is still there. My child attend her lesson when we joined their playgroup 2 years ago. You can feel she loves children, not just taking it as a job.

For your info the Little Scientist summer program is for children age 4-10. Your boy might be too young still?

The teacher I mentioned is Miss Cindy, she taught my child when we joined the center 2 years before. We left her class already and had been attending other programs more suitable for the age, but she remembers all student names. My child still won't forget her too.

For the little scientist, I can't give you solid comment, because my child is still on the waiting list for that program.

Comment from my friend, her girl was joining that program for 8 months already, she said the program contents is very rich. The classwork and worksheets I saw was attractive. My child will experience that after they move to the new campus, they confirm will have more classes at that time.

You sure have a good memory. Yes our kids (yours & mine) were born in the same month and are accepted to SC but I still haven't decided whether to go local or international. So you've made up your mind already? Good for you. Have you worked out a plan about the summer activities for your boy? Anything you can share will be appreciated. As my helper will be taking my girl, I'd prefer a simpler schedule in nearby schools. I'm afraid the program will not be as rich as I'd like it to be. I'll probably go for YMCA for 4 weeks (mid July – mid Aug) and add a week or 2 of activities from other schools. This is easier for my helper than changing school and time every day.

According to its website, Science Workshop has institutional programs at SC and so your boy needs not travel all the way then once he starts school. Most of the summer interest classes (except English) at Graceful Hands are for 3.5yr old or above.

It was a difficult decision for me but I am really feeling great right now.  I am very much relieved. SC provides flexibility whereas ESF is some kind of a route of no return.  Anyway, International school is still my target at primary level.  I also believe that the ability to read Chinese characters and discipline is equally as important as proficiency in English.  That is the reason why I have come to such a decision.

Agree that a simpler summer plan should be adopted if you are relying on your maid.  But as a full time mother, I think I can afford to plan for a more extensive programme for Daniel.  My initial plan is as follows:-

Week 3 - 2 Kids Gallery Workshops
Week 4 & 5 - Hong Kong Preschool Shatin (English & Mandarin will be used as the teaching medium)
Week 6 & 7 - Keen Mind Nursery (This is the nursery that my son is currently attending)
Week 8 - Science Workshop

In addition, he will also continue with his swimming course at YMCA.

When I visited SC last month, I also inquired about their joint programme with Science Workshop.  I was told that they had worked with them before but not in the current year.  Therefore, there is no guarantee that similar activities will be organised in SC.  At the moment, SC is working on an English drama programme with Kids Gallery.
