德望和伍季明如何選擇

小女被派往本區第一志願"伍季明上午校(63區)", 但有德望小學取錄了打底，應如何取捨?

I choose 伍季明上午校 because I know my friend's girl study in this shool is quite good.  Good Hope is too far from your home.  Don't take too long travelling time, the child will get tired.

If you do not need to worry about $ , Chose Good Hope.   
P1-P6 under 3.2 k month
F1-F3 3.5k month
F4-F5 4k
F6-F7 not sure

Honestly speaking it is a very good school  and worth

If you only have 1 girl  and you do not need to worry about $$,  I suggest you to choose GH.

如果唔介意俾學費, 我會揀德望.  而家檢討緊新制度~就係英中學生要達到85%中一學生係適合英語教學, 間學校至可以維持英語教學. 荃灣區本區而家只得3間英中, 可風同何傳耀收100% band 1學生, 新制對佢哋可能影響不大, 但荃官因為同荃官小有聯繫,  當中會否有變數冇人可知. 如果唔好彩, 荃官達唔到標要落英中車, 荃灣就只得兩間英中(就算荃官達到標都係得3間), 到時升中競爭一定好大. 與其到時又要再博, 不如而家入咗德望算嘞!

Thanks for your advices,

I have only one child (daughter) and I am very lucky that I can afford the school fee of GHS. I also prefer GHS to 伍季明.

I am also thinking that I shall even move to live closer to GHS to shorten my daughter's journey to school.

I post this message because I consider that 伍季明, being my 1st choice in my own district, is also a very good school. I fell a bit sorry to let go this seat and go for a more expensive seat at GHS.

Anyway, I decided to go for GHS. In the meantime, I am also trying to knock the door of St. Mary's Canossian school.  Do you consider St. Mary's a better school than GHS?  Thanks.

I am not prefer GH very much because their syllabus is too difficult for a primary student.  Moreover, I feel that they push the student too much to get higher score (e.g HKCEE 7A, 8A) and there are 200 students in P.1 (normal 100-120 students) like running a business more than running a school.  

I prefer St Mary very much.

This is just my own opinion

Both schools have a lot of homework, very tough for kids.  I see a girl studying in 伍季明 always very unhappy due to the very heavy workload. GH's English standard may be higher.
