如果數學好, 溝通及表達能力强, 精於電腦操作, 頂得好 chur 嘅功課安排和考試壓力, 有興趣在金融保險界發展, 咁就具備精算入行條件。

P.S. 還要忍受入行頭4年與專業不相稱嘅偏低人工, 依家初入行大約 $15,000左右。

所以未必太多人想入精算呢行或讀呢科，但無我上述提及嘅條件，尤其是 communication skill, 在現實上自己要向top management 及其他横向部門同事，例如 sales & mkt., fund mgr., 甚至 CS. 在自己艱深嘅專業領域裏(尤其係數學部份)，如何能深入易出解釋有關金融/保險產品設計或自己的工作成果，絕對唔係自己關埋房門，自己計計計唔多識講嘢嘅宅男就能成為一位稱職嘅精算師。

由於精算相對難讀，專業試更係難中之難，行頭窄，頭幾年人工與其他專業比較 under pay. 所以做到精算師都真係好講緣份。

I am so glad my son went through IBDP, particularly the independent oral presentation training, very useful in university program and also internships.

He is good in Maths and then more focus on languages training, it pays off.

好多謝你既分析，原本我仔只係諗住A&f，不過有個agent係咁叫佢揀精算，話好過a&f，但又無好具體咁講出點好，所以我先上來問下

其實 agent 都唔算教錯，尤其是 accounting (如果入呢行的話), 香港已開始飽和,大陸又唔需要你，Actuary 不失為一個好選擇,雖然行頭窄，頭幾年人工有些吃虧，但始终人才供應少，我係指有四年或以上工作經驗那些，但你未經歷過新人階段又點 earn 經驗，都係“在非洲賣鞋”嘅故仔，即你自己點睇乜嘢叫機會。

My two cents:

Take the undergraduate as High school qualification, look around diff opportunities and scenario, don't limited himself in certain professional, crossover or fusion can be a blue ocean.
